Arcane is a very peak of art as of today. My mind cannot be changed. I might be based but that's what art is supposed to do isn't it? Make you love it.... From the visulals to the music to characters to storrytelling....all of it as a whole is a masterful piece of art. No other words can describe that IMO.

You read my mind! Arcane is the best show of this century! If the showrunners hadn't cut 60 minutes out of season 2, it would have been the best show of this millennium. I hope they at least add some of those 60 minutes to the Jinx spinoff.

I'm glad other people see what I see in Arcane. I never understood why people are saying season 2 was bad and that it spoiled the series as I was too caught up in everything I was feeling and all the angles I was thinking about regarding what was happening on the screen at the time. I have watched the series several times now in its entirety and I still don't really get the complaints. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that but I simply don't see it. What I see is the love child of many people, all of whom poured their love for their art and their souls into this series, and it shows.

I would love it if jinx was responsible for her own redemption. Everyone else redeems jinx not her. Ekko reconciles with powder, so no effort on jinx's part. Isha and Vander save vi and jinx's relationship so no effort on her part. The most impactful part of ekko and jinx making peace was off screen. I loved each episode of season 2 but as parts, not as a complete finished thing.

@@MrViscious I disagree with you. Ekko does convince Jinx/Powder to live, but it wouldn't work if she didn't want herself be convinced. She needed someone to see her, not Powder (that they want to see) or Jinx (that she made herself look like) but her. Ekko, when he talked to her (not off screen, in the scene where he keeps rewinding the time and talking to her), implied that he finally starts to get her and that's what changes her mind. Being seen. Wander and Isha do not save Vi and Jinx' relationship. Vi seeing how gentle the supposed murderer psychopath Jinx is with a child that is very clearly filling out her younger sister's role is what starts the change for the both of them. She sees what Powder is giving to Isha, what she was possibly missing from her older sister (Vi), and finally starts getting that she might not have been all there for Powder and that she put her in situations she should not have. She finally gets the full picture, the other side, so to speak, and starts to figure out that it's not Jinx/Powder that is to blame for everything but she messed up, too. Granted, they were both kids, but still. They are both at fault, to a certain extent. Jinx reached out to Vi after she realized Warwick is Vander AND after Vi stopped Caitlyn from shooting at her and Isha. After seeing that Vi still cares about her, realizing that there might still be a flicker of hope to build a bridge and save their relationship. Everything is right there in the pictures, everything is explained/told/depicted, you just have to look and put the puzzle pieces together. :)

I'd recommend quoting and showing footage of the scene you're talking about so people can understand how you're coming to your conclusions. How am I supposed to understand the character development you're referring to when you aren't connecting it to the scene? You said the animation was incredible in this scene, so I'd love to see footage from the scene and an explanation as to why. If the quality of the animation is incredible, show an example. If the animation gives deep insight into a character's arc, show their facial expression a key moment and explain why that's important. I acutally managed to watch the whole video without knowing the scene you were talking about, and upon rewatch you only mentioned the scene itself at 2:00, and I still don't know exactly what you mean. I don't want to be overly critical, I just want to understand what you're trying to communicate. I wish you the best of luck in the future, 1000 subscribers here we come!

I thonk jinx was also hoping that if she could show Vi that Vander was still in there, that maybe there was hope that Vi could stills see HER. After all thats what the dinner party was actually about. Seeing if Vi could see passed her being a monster... and she couldnt, so why not lean into being a monster?

Might be nice to include a frame or two of the scene this video is centering on. We are seeing plenty of brief clips from scenes that are related to it in terms of theme and character development, but the scene is described with the utmost brevity, and the scene itself? Waiting for Godot.

While I have some like-minded people, I would like to pick your brains on one thing that I can't rationalize for myself: Why did Viktor save Jayce on the mountain, at all? Sure, Viktor loved Jayce (let's not get into the how as it's irrelevant for this) and would go into great lengths to save him but arguably, without Jayce, there is no hextech and without hextech, there is no ascended Viktor and all that entails. So, why did Viktor, the ultra-logical being that he is, decide to still save Jayce when his end would have been arguably the only thing to definitely undo all of what happened, meaning that if there's no hextech, Viktor doesn't get tempted and does not survive his illness as he cannot save himself, thus he doesn't evolve and doesn't evolve all those people that then are taken out with him even if Jayce does manage to finish him off (not sure what words are shadow-banned so while it might not be the nicest way to describe it, it's one I'm pretty sure will go through). Most of the people that Viktor evolved, arguably, would have survived anyway, if in a wheelchair or with other injuries/disabilities so I cannot wrap my brain around why Viktor would not have just let Jayce freeze on the mountain to undo what he had done - unless there would be a reason due to the paradox created, fixed point in time, timey-wimey something. That or "so that the plot could happen" but since Arcane is Arcane, there must be a reasonable answer.

In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good. I believe Victor saved him because he wanted to correct the path not alter it to nonexistance. He wanted Jayce to save him not he to save himself. So he gave him the crystal set him on the same path hoping that the different rune will ultimately bring a different outcome but still giving the timeline Victor the wisdom to do better not greater.

@lennertoss6497 That's a good point. However, Viktor tried to change the outcome several different times and eluded to the fact that it always ended the same way. It kind of feels like Doctor Strange trying for the optimal outcome without actually knowing how to achieve it. That feels very much like a yeehaw move from the very logical Viktor though I can accept that he was optimistic in his thinking - still, it feels naive.
