For everyone wondering, the voice of the dubbing of Jemima is; HELEN MASSEY. She's mostly does opera nowadays. As for Veerle Casteleyn, she does the voice of Jemima herself in the Dutch version of Cats. You can find a clip of that on KZbin easily. It's a bit higher registry wise, but every bit at cute as Veerle herself. :)

I think that this version of "Memory" is my favorite. The dark stage emulating a moonlit night, the cast softly singing the song in the gorgeous key of D major, their flowing movements and wonderful treatment of the old theater cat Gus...it's the only part of the musical that left me sobbing.

I love Helen Massey's voice and I also love Veerle as well. But it kind of annoys me that you can tell that she's lip syncing (I mean the first time I watched it I didn't think anything of it). BUT anyways I could watch this movie over and over again. It never gets old.

@sasodei1995 - She is Jamima. Played by Veerly Casteleyn. The voice you hear is Helen Massey. Veerle can sing well, but english is a second language to her and so Helen's voice was used for the movie.

@notanignoramus - After reading your post I went and did some research. What I read was conflicting. Most said her voice was dubbed for the DVD. Some say she was only dubbed for Memory. It seems strange to me that they would only dub one song of hers because of her accent especially since this song and Memory are so similar. Still it appears you may be right.
