I love this movie and watched it recently for the 3rd time. The (this) opening scene reaches perfection in staging, disparate element (earnest researcher, bored assistant, kids, donkey, mysterious priest, aliens!), lighting, camera moves and shot selection. The cue that something very odd is about to happen is first presaged by a camel. Wow!

@@TaskSwitcherifyIn that case I'm going to write a short story about how one man's xenophobia saved the world from lying, trickster "others" who were trying to kill us all while pretending to be our friends. By your logic my work will automatically have some kind of real-world value and its message should be taken into account with future interactions with those who are different from us because "how can you be sure" it's fictional? I think in the real, non-fiction world, you're a bit slow.

They had the key. They had access for a few hundred years. I would expect they occasionally visited to make sure nothing structurally went wrong/etc. Can you imagine if they needed to activate the temple just to find it full of sand because of a hole in the ceiling? Plus the temple was "prepared" as ordered by the head priest. So I expect they removed the body at some point.
@Bigrignohio23 күн бұрын
@@spica1jp I suspect they are actually environment suits.
So the body or Armor should have been there still after 300 years into the future when they returned?

Same thing anyone else would do with it. Mauser sold the c1896 model in the UK through the British gunsmith Westley Richards; it was very popular with British officers before World War I.
