Did I hear that right? Sixty-two miles from impact? Isn't that a few hundred meters below the Karman Line (official arbitrary definition of space) and skimming the atmosphere? That would be a very rapidly decaying orbit assuming it was still moving perpendicular to the surface, which it did not appear to be doing. So, at most, this stunt should have only bought Earth about 142.6 seconds if they stopped the "Dark Planet" dead with zero velocity relative to the Earth. Unless the temple was also keeping it up there with some kind of active support.

Yeah, that is somewhat what i think. Maybe the blow gave the planet orbital velocity (but will anyway decay because of air friction). Orbital velocity is quite high at this altitude, even faster than ISS. The planet will also break apart because under the roche limit. We wish they have the technology to intercept big debris. Unless they send them back to space at high velocity, the mass of the new planet will add to the earth's mass while falling...

Leeloo The Supreme Being was pissing me off. She had one little 2 minute fight scene and she tired. Bruce wiped out every body, executed hostage negotiations, got the stones, disabled a bomb, and piloted them off a exploding planet, figured out how to open the stones, but she so tired. Like what did you do? Exactly? Jump in a vent after your dancing fight scene? . And then judging the planet. Talking about why save the planet. She doesn't know love? Girl if you don't stand you're supreme being dramatic weak punk AZZ on the that mantle lol You're job is to SAVE the planet not judge it. Next time send a tougher supreme being, this one has no endurance. Lol😂

Did you even watch the movie? She didn't just do some dance fighting, vault into a vent, and get tired. She was shot several times and was weak from blood loss. Even then, she is clearly much stronger than you give her credit for. She not only survived getting shot and not being found for an hour or 2 , bleeding out that whole time, but also survived the ship she was on after it disintegrated from crashing into a moon. Seeing how it fell (straight to earth), and at 62 miles from impact, this thing will continue to fall by gravity unless it was put into orbit by the fifth-element blow. But still then, it will eventually break apart because it is inside the roche limit. Nice earth rings... i guess some parts will collide and deviate and eventually fall into the atmosphere. Luckily they have the technology to intercept big chunks.
