My grandfather practiced meditation, not an advanced level though. Once he got sick and got into the hospital. I don't remember what it was about but it was supposed to be painful. My mom asked him if he had any pain. My grandpa said he had no pain because he set his mind not to feel the pain. It was extraordinary!!

I once saw a documentary about meditation. They showed a man from India who had to have a tooth extracted, I think he lived in Germany at that time (where I'm from). The dentist wanted to give him a narcotic, but the man declined. saying he would go into deep meditation. They both had talked about this before. The dentist then proceeded to extract the tooth and afterwards he said that he never had a tooth come out so smoothly and quickly. They showed the entire procedure and the dentist really just grabbed the tooth with the tongs and pulled a little bit. The man said he had not felt any pain during or afterwards. He had told his body to release the tooth. there was next to no bleeding either. This got me interested in meditation.

The first step and the most difficult is to control your mind and silence it. Once you have mastered that picture your body from the outside all the way in your muscles your tendons your bones your blood vessels like a movie of an MRI. Now I want you to picture the energy that is coming from the earth and all around you allow it to come into you it almost feels like a tingle throughout your entire body try to amplify that tingle sensation. Side note it took me several months to shut my brain off from thinking anything and have complete utter silence and pitcher that you are around nothing and nothing is around you except the energy of the Earth. What exists is the 5 aggregates. They'll cease to exist when there's no more fuelling via craving and ignorance. Only when craving and ignorance is totally irradiated reincarnation will stop. If one sees the real nature of existence( true state of the 5 aggregates) throgh the eye of wisdom for what they inherently are- fragile, painful, impermanent, uncontrollable, horrific, repulsive... with that Enlightenment the desire to exist in any realm ( even in heavenly abodes or in Rupa, arupa brahma realms) will cease. That's Liberation, moksha or Nirvana as The Buddha teaches.

Most people do not understand Sanatan Dharm. Yogis know how to do it. Every human leaves the body every night when going to sleep. Its no big deal. Yogananda was an avatar, a Master of Wisdom of which there are dozens on the planet, mostly working totally unkown to us lot. They teach us but dont need our devotion at all. When a Soul takes the 5th initiation it reached the point where reincarnation is no longer needed. All karma is disolved and the higher path opens. The Soul is united with the Monad which is a spark of source. Its basically the evolutionary purpose for every Soul anywhere in the universe. We are endlessly being reborn in different realms, of that one being the heaven realms, but even those in the heavens can fall down into lower realms. The reason they want to reach enlightenment is to stop that cycle entirely and become free

The Bible talks about heavens passing away. Speaks of many heavens. Even Paul had an NDE and said he was called up to the third heaven. They are rather of eternal than eternal places. Meaning they can be revisited anytime a soul desires to recall it. We as souls will build many heavens and recall as many as our souls build. Heaven or hell are built through relationships.. they are experiences we build and become a part of the souls journey through the cosmos. Meaning the earth life you have here will result in a type of heaven or hell your soul can recall relevant to what you have done here.
