I get so distracted by monologues in his work that it really effects my ability to enjoy his works. It's really unfortunate because I think he's so good at so much, but it's ridiculously distracting to realize that this isn't a conversation, this is a character talking at me directly for so damn long.

I think this is more about your ADHD than his directing style. I've never had an issue with this, and no one else seems to either.
