Halt and Catch Fire 10 Year Anniversary | ATX TV Festival

Halt and Catch Fire captured the rise of the PC era (and eventually, the internet) in the 1980s- 90s, following a cast of characters attempting to innovate against the changing backdrop of technology and Texas’ Silicon Prairie. Some of our favorite characters set out to ultimately learn - "Computers aren’t the thing. They’re the thing that gets you to the thing." On the 10th anniversary of the series premiere, the creatives and cast reunited to reflect on the beloved drama with a look back at the show’s most thrilling and poignant moments, its core philosophies on technology, innovation, and partnership, and why it’s central thesis remains more relevant than ever.

Amazing show, and easily one of my favorites of all time. To this day, I believe the episode "Goodwill" is one of the most special episodes of a television show ever. I've never seen mourning so realistically and faithfully reproduced. From start to finish, Halt and Catch Fire is incredible.

It was a dream come true being in this room! This show has been the greatest drama series for me for a decade and counting. Also, I’m grateful I didn’t accidentally knock a cable out of the projector or knock over the projector itself, as I was sitting right next to it.
