Tower: King and the tower pieces. A player never wants that to be the only two pieces left on their side of the chessboard. The King (which can only move one step at a time) will always be too vulnerable and the Tower piece can only do so much to protect the King before it is taken down by a stronger chess piece. The Tower can only move straight back or forth, side to side - very limited compared to other chess pieces other than the pawns

I own the mini version of this deck, and absolutely love it. There's just so much in these cards that you really could sit and analyze for days. It's weird to me though that people would think this deck "nonsensical" as you said because...it's supposed to be a dream world/landscape? When do dreams make sense lol? Its theme to me is that it weaves the fantasy of scenes that could have stepped out from someone's mind to the cards and their meanings, which yeah can take time to interpret, but do make sense once you sit with it.

Oh yay! I’ve heard the mini versions of this company’s decks are really top notch and don’t sacrifice any image clarity despite the size. You’re damn right about “when do dreams make sense” lol, I hadn’t considered that! While maybe this deck is too out there for some people in a way that they just don’t care for surreal art, I suspect that some people just don’t want to do any sort of work in their readings. Which is their prerogative, but oof, does that close some amazing doors.

And yeah, that makes sense that some people have different reading styles (or don't even like surrealist art, for that matter) but it definitely does close the door to them on what I think is an amazing deck. And yes, the images are still pretty clear for me in the mini, but I do have good/okay eyesight. I can see the mini being a problem for some otherwise.

And there’s so much in the cards deviating from what I know I want to be able to see it buuut my only excuse to get it at all is I need a mini in my collection 😂 Which of course leads my brain to “buy both”! But can’t be doing that. Ugh.

I love this deck Logan 💚 I got the KS - I only got the regular version so no pretty silver sparkles edges, I also didnt get the extra cards & I really love that Justice card. Oh well, I love my deck 😁Really enjoyed this video, you pointed out things I hadn't seen. My early favs are Death, the Wheel, the Star etc. The fact that it is fantastical & bizarre is one of it's strongest points. Also the colour scheme & the art itself 💜

He originated El Gallo in the Fantasticks (one of the sexiest roles) AND Billy Flynn in Chicago (another fabulous role). I didn’t know about him donating his eyes, but that is so beautiful.

BTW, have you seen that this author is doing another deck, called Exile Tarot! It's more traditional, but the artwork is so amazing! This artist creates such an atmosphere with their decks. ❤
