I've watched all your lore videos now and i've beginning to see a pattern between the types of mutation / infection and the backstory the people went through. If the Sculptor did this as a kind of sick "punishment" or if it happened to various Loas being dragged into the Bayou by all the suffering and pain, I don't know. The Hive stems from a mother who was incapable of supporting for her many children. She was helpless and lost and thus she became a "Queen", a Hive for new children. The Immolator was a man who was violated so much, that he saw red and quite literally bursted into rage and flames. Grunts come from a people who have been living under poor conditions in the bayou for a long time, many of them former slaves. Many of them feel lost and depressed, the outside world calls it „lethargy" or „lazyness". The Infection made them into slaves of their inner self, having to witness how their body rots and commits terrible things while being unable to do something.

 Water Devils. They come from two Hunters who in their lavishness spent all their money and thus had nothing to eat. They could have gone on for a while without eating I suppose (a normal human can survive very long without food so im guessing a hunter could even hold out longer) but in their gluttony they ate rotten meat. It turned them into monsters that are so voracious that they hunted down most of the wildlife and continue to be insatiated and always hungry for more flesh.

 The Armored might come from someone who was very stern and stubborn (as the story about the fisherman in the lore suggests) so his fate becomes slowly petrifying.

 The Meathead is difficult, I think it stands for adultery and fornication. The two hunters that birthed him, whether they knew that it was forbidden or not, did something that wasn’t allowed by making a pregnant woman a hunter. but they did it anyway, resulting in a twisted, corrupted and unhealthy child. Then there’s the Bosses The Spider is easy, it comes from a man who went mad and killed and ate his whole group, so he was forced to fuze together with his victims and keep on devouring hunters and other infected alike.

The Assassin has his backstory with being a (serial) Killer, a pesterer of humanity, thus he became one with actual pests. Scrapbook was a broken man collecting broken stuff, tried to repair himself and filling his inner holes with things. He might stand for greed as he takes more than what ne needs, even if its just trash. He is forced to carry everything around with him, a task that must be horrendously painful when you’re walking on thin metal legs screwed into your bones. The Butcher is a bit difficult as well. The Taxidermist tried to create something lifelike and succeeded, but it cost him his life in exchange. The Butcher itself is just a twisted creature, that doesn’t know what it is and what made it how it is, filled with rage and fear.

It's an interesting interpretation for sure. At some point it definitely felt as if the writers wished to add roles, or purposes to each individual boss or monster in general. You might be on to something.

{Spoiler alert for the meathead lore} First question i had when i finished reading it the first time: how the hell did it find pants? or a weapon? it has no head and therefore no eyes to see, and the leeches serving as it's sight only care for prey and probably have no idea on the concept of clothes, and also it's a transformed child that starts fresh out the womb, it's not someone that transformed as an adult. Guess this Sculptor guy guided it in some way to weaponry...and clothes.
