KZbin just recommended me this, and this is gold. I can't agree more. I just gave up reaching these always higher and higher "achievements". In the process I had to learn, that I need to be truly myself - do music I really like and stand behind with. This is the key to success.

Good point on putting more emphasis on building yourself as a more unique artist than just following a formula to please the algorithm. I myself am trying to get myself out there in the streaming world but the quality of music must come first!

I always have people I know speak on my monthly listeners like congratulate me as they do OK and I'm like EHHHH why are people judging me off this I'm not even looking at this in that way, it all comes down to algorihtym, playlists, labels etc who run all that for the most part... THEN there is one slice of the pie that's authentic people tuning in cause they chose too
