This film was criminally under rated. The book is awesome and goes into a lot more detail and even more experiences from these men.

@TaintedKey3 жыл бұрын
@@kaspernbs per wiki The film is loosely based on the 2007 non-fiction book The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History by Robert M. Edsel and Bret Witter.

I liked the movie but wish it was better because it really is a great story. Part of this has to do with the pacing, probably too many characters (which hurts in a two hour movie) to fully develop the characters on screen.

@@kaspernbs yeah I read the book in it’s entirety. It’s an amazing read would definitely recommend.

Quick thinking, and a brilliant response. When enemies don't speak a common language, the situation can still be de-escalated with body language.

He's actually a swiss actor, very talented imho, named Joel Basman. My favourite film with him is "Sennentuntschi", but you probably won't get this one outside of switzerland. Try "The Awakening of Motti Wolkenbruch", it should be on Netflix.

Hitler was infatuated with Cowboy movies. Stories about him often involve those films on a projector in his home. The ideal of the American West was, hypocritically something he was enamored with.
