I rather spend my time out in the sun watching squirrels and birds than talk with PEOPLE.. lol .. scars all over here but the show must go on because these experiences can build a good foundation .. just take life easy .. work , take vacations, etc

The show must go on, yes! Can’t let it stop us from doing what we’ve got to do. Personally still learning to relax... I appreciate that perspective :)

It’s so hard not to let things that happen to you change you. It’s not easy staying true to yourself to your core after going through trauma. Great video and great points. We all can definitely relate .

Yes, unfortunately and fortunately you can’t unsee or unexperience something, so you’re forever changed. But recognizing that and the changes is the first step. Thanks for your comment :)

Nice video Sarah. A lot of what you mentioned resonated with me. Im definitely trusting...which has made me distrust because of past experiences. People can be negative cause they can't see what you see. And lol i rub ppl the wrong way but guess what? It weeds out the people who aren't the right ppl for you.

Thanks, May. Funny you mention rubbing ppl the wrong way, I am learning that it's totally OK to do that and I should sometimes 😂I've been too much of a people pleaser in my past, and I'm realizing I want to change that. It would help me weed people out better, rather than necessarily accepting all types of people into my circle

Thanks! Yes, it's interesting to get others' opinions because I've noticed new friends perceive me differently than those who knew me when I was younger, more naive. We all change, hopefully for the better :)

I appreciated this perspective from you, friend! 🙂 I work in the world of HR and I consider myself a big people person to begin with. Regardless of it being in the business world or our personal life, I do think we will face many opportunities where we will have to decide how we respond back. Being hurt emotionally is a real sensation! I really do believe that every single one of us, inside, are trying our best not to get hurt. We all respond differently, but I think that is why it is so peculiar when, nevertheless, kindness is shown. Gentleness and meekness and so on. Being vulnerable is a risk, but there are people out there who we can learn to show ourselves to and, perhaps, have them show us themselves to us, too. Thanks for the video!! 🙂

Yes, we are always trying to protect ourselves emotionally, that's a really key point that is often overlooked. We've learned to mold ourselves away from what's natural to make sure we don't get hurt. I'm trying really hard to be resilient by being that vulnerable or meek or optimistic person, and just build up a sense of not giving a damn if it's not accepted. And then we find our people when we show ourselves and others like it and show themselves, too. Thanks for the thoughtful comment 😊
