I don’t know what it means exactly but BMO walking off with his little backpack has always reminded me of early seasons finn, including being dangled by the straps and escaping

I think the part does really well depicting the duelity of NEEDING to grow up. I had to grow up far too fast, because of that I tried to keep a strangle hold of being a kid to no avail. AMO. However I had to come to accept that it was gone, that I needed to grow up and move on from what I was, what was possible. BMO. Eventually coming to accept both and realizing that you don't need to be entirely rid of your inner child to grow up, rather that growing up was in fact accepting and being that inner child, while still understanding that you need to and becoming far more mature and knowing when that child has no place. The Conclusion of what BMO became through the series. That is what I really like about Adventure Time. It can be a signifier of any background, not just one or the other. Anyone could have their own takeaway from that BMO arc, but that was mine. And it feels nice to think even if it's just a cartoon, someone gets it. I didn't grow up with the show, but the writers were unbelievably good at making it feel like I did despite watching it years later. That's genuine talent.

Fun fact: Lemmings don't actually commit mass suicide. That was made up by a Disney documentary in 1958 when the filmmakers just threw a bunch of lemmings off a cliff, filmed it, and decided to say it was part of their "great migration." Why? Well, I have no clue

honestly one of my favorites too. it’s a really stunningly animated episode that actually helped me process growing up at a young age as well.

Great video, i love how its shows him thinking about adulthood nostalgically as your whole life you are told to prepare for it, so it does feel like you are looking back at it when you approach it due to all these ideas about what it should be like

In this comment I want to thank you for your work. It’s really something of a high quality and I can feel the great enthusiasm and love for your work that has been put in this analysis! Adventure Time is in my opinion one of the modern classics and your interpretation is for sure very good and well argumented ❤️

I was tired when I watched the ending so I just saw a bunch of rainbow bmos all talk simultaneously happily... I didn't have the capacity to "listen to all dat" at the time, I thought this would help and it kinda does... But I still need to rewatch it.

is the storm/weather PBs fault? i thought the experiment thing was moreso a reason why she isnt there for BMO's birthday (and seems pretty unrelated to the storm, just that the hologram experiment for BMO's birthday broke pretty badly)

Do Gravity Falls, there's a lot of good moments in there and overall a good cartoon. 40 episodes, so not a lot compared to Regular Show and Adventure Time. Maybe short animes if you don't want to a big series. Edit: Courage the Cowardly Dog is good too

You make really compelling videos. Please consider using your normal speaking voice though. After about 8 minutes or so, the sing-song-y nature of your tones gets tough to keep listening to. I liked the content, but as someone with misophonia, it gets really hard to stay engaged when someone hits the same musical type notes at the end of each sentence in an extremely repetitive way. Take care
