The Moreside Indexable Trunnion for 5 axis indexing on your 4 axis mill

Get 5 axis indexing on your 4 axis mill. People have asked for a larger fixture than other Moreside fixtures so we have been working with and testing the Indexable Trunnion. Perfect size for Haas Mini Mills as the top of the dove tail fixture is only 4.50" when mounted on an HRT160. That's .50" below centerline so parts will nearly rotate within their own footprint and avoiding a large radial swing like most trunnions.

That part was only 2"x4"x2" but I've done parts as big as 6.5" cubed

A question? For this fixture, would I have to have a Work offset for each view on my part?

A bit late, but maybe still helpful. It depends on your machine. Most modern controls will have a Dynamic Work Offset or Dynamic Fixture Offset option that will allow you to set 1 work offset, and it will calculate the new position of that work offset when the part rotates. Without an option like that, yes, you will need a new work offset for each degree position you're milling at. Its not terrible for a single part like this, but if you start holding 20 parts on a tomb stone, you can run into the hundreds of work offsets if you have some odd angles.
