The most beautiful and enduring memory is that he was sick onstage but gave us all of his Soul and although the crowd knew that he couldn't do every note, WE DIDN'T REQUIRE IT BECAUSE WE SANG WITH HIM. The love that Black people have eternally for Frankie Beverly is immovable. He belonged to us AND HE NEVER CHANGED.
