Hi Marilyn! 😊 Thank you so much for your sweet words! I’m glad you enjoyed the pool area-maybe the little lizard just couldn’t resist a quick swim! 😉 Fingers crossed for the veggies; that netting took a bit of work, and so far it's doing a good job of keeping animals away, but i cn;t get anything to grow apart from my peas...Thank you for watching and for all your kindness. Big hugs! ❤️❤️

Hi Deborah thank you for the video. Poor little lizard looked like it was water logged and couldn't move. Hope your veggies start growing nothing better than fresh from the garden. It's good to plant Marigold plants or similar flowers like them around the edge of your garden helps to keep some pests away. Good to be in the garden with you. 🌻🌻

Hi Maureen! 🌻 Thank you so much for watching! That poor little lizard really did look worn out-he's all better now, he pops out now na dagain on warm days. 😊 I completely agree; there’s nothing like fresh veggies from the garden! Thank you for the tip about marigolds-I’ll definitely add some around the edges to keep those pesky bugs away. It’s always lovely to have you along in the garden with me! Big hugs! 😍😍

I have a blue tongue living in my garden too. Mine is very shy and I only see glimpses before it hides. It might have just needed time to rest and recover after being in the pool. Probably got a bit scared. Great to see it sunbathing later! The chicken wire and net cover are clever additions to your veggie garden. Hope it helps to keep the rabbits, foxes and grubs at bay! Your bedding colour scheme is lovely. I have similar coloured sheets. The green cushions are a nice addition for spring/summer. Fresh and relaxing. 🌴 Even a lemon yellow or pale blue would be nice. Thanks for sharing the recipe, sounds really yummy!

Hi lovely! 😊 It's wonderful to hear you have a blue-tongue lizard in your garden too-they're such fascinating creatures, even if a bit shy. I agree; it likely needed some time to rest and recover after its unexpected swim. Seeing it sunbathing later was a relief! Thank you for your kind words about the bedding color scheme. The green cushions do add a fresh touch for spring and summer. I love your suggestions of lemon yellow or pale blue-they would indeed create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Thanks for this vlog Deborah. It was great. Love your kitties and dog. So cute. We call our cat "tradie cat" because if we have a tradie here, he climbs their ladder and "tries" to help them. He even sneaks into their trucks 😂🐾. We have netted all our fruit trees this year. We did last year but critters still got to them. We did a better job this year. I hope the blue tongue lizard is OK. I tried to get the hair dryer today but they were sold out. I'm going to have to go to Frankston to get one, I think. You are an amazing cook, I wish I was as inventive as you. The fritters looked amazing. Take care beautiful lady and I'll see you soon. Mwah 😘♥️♥️xx

Oh, Jen, your “tradie cat” sounds absolutely adorable! 😂🐾 I can just picture him scaling ladders and sneaking into trucks-what a little character! It’s so funny how our fur babies think they’re helping, isn’t it? Good on you for netting the fruit trees again this year! Those critters sure are determined, but it sounds like you’re ready for them this time. The blue tongue lizard is doing well, I've seen it a few times sunbathing on the last couple of warm weather days we've had. Ah, thank you so much for the sweet words about my cooking! I’m sure you’re an amazing cook too, and you’re going to have a blast with the new hair dryer once you track one down (Frankston, here we come!). Take care, lovely, and thank you for always bringing such joy to the comments. Big kisses! Mwah! 😘♥️♥️

@Deborahafter50 our tradie cat is a blue point Siamese called Ra after the Egyptian sun God. Such a character. Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm a pretty bland cook but I do great Indonesian meals because my ex husband was Indonesian. Other than that it's OK. Made an amazing spaghetti bol tonight. See you soon darling 😘 ❤️ xx

Oh, Jen, Ra sounds like such a fabulous name for your “tradie cat”-a blue point Siamese with a name as grand as the Egyptian sun god! 🌞 No wonder he’s got that big personality! And Indonesian meals? That’s amazing! I bet they’re absolutely delicious, and a good spaghetti bolognese is always a winner in my book! Thank you for sharing, lovely-I feel like I know Ra and your cooking adventures a little better now. Can’t wait to chat again soon, darling! Mwah! 😘❤️ xx

The lizard did not pay attention to his mother when she said that he had to wait after eating before going for a swim or he could get a stitch and drown. Thankfully you saved him, he probably had to have a rest so that his heart rate could return to normal and his stitch could subside 😂

Haha, Natalie, that is too funny! 😂 I think you’re absolutely right-the little guy clearly didn’t listen to his mum’s advice! Poor thing probably needed a breather after all that excitement. I’m just glad I could help him out! Thanks for giving me a good laugh with your comment! Big hugs! xx 🦎❤️

If a lizaerd is like that again I would recommend putting a heater or lamp for it so it can get warm again...esoecially on an overcast day. I havent had any lizard issues here though we have plenty. We have had to call for help from native animal rescue for koalas...you could call them if anything happens again. Maybe look up the local number and save it in your phone. I havent put in any veg yet....I need a fence put up to stop my sheep eating absoluely anything and everything. Hard to find a contractor that isnt busy until next year!
@Deborahafter5021 күн бұрын
Thank you for the advice, Chrissie! Providing a heat source for a chilled lizard is a great idea, especially on cooler days. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future encounters. It's wonderful that you've been proactive in seeking help for koalas. I can imagine the challenge of starting a veggie garden with sheep around! Finding a contractor during busy times can be tough. Thanks again for your thoughtful tips and for sharing your experiences. Wishing you the best with your garden and your lovely sheep! 🐑🌱 Much love! 😚😚

I do not like or care for having ANY Reptiles near or in my yard last Summer there was 2 in our yard and removed them both in absolute revolution and nervousness they have a nasty bite and can get super infected so I’d be careful to not touch them either . However I just love your Cat feeding station area so special on a Silver platter for the Cats ❤

I live in Perth. I’ve had bob-tail lizards in my garden for years and they keep the snail population down for me. The other day, I discovered one inside the house; no idea how it got in. I thought it was going to be difficult to get it outside again without traumatising either one of us, so I found a box, which I laid on its side whilst I went to get the broom in order to shoo the lizard into the box. But whilst I was getting the broom, the lizard very obligingly went into the box all by itself, so problem solved!
@Deborahafter5021 күн бұрын
Hi Janet! 😊 What a story-your little bob-tail lizard was so cooperative! They’re such helpful little critters, aren’t they? It sounds like they’ve made themselves right at home in your garden, keeping those snails in check. And how lucky that it saved you from any broom maneuvers by hopping into the box on its own! I guess it knew you were helping it out. Thanks for sharing this adorable adventure! Big hugs! 😚😚
