I'm amazed at what Black was able to accomplish on the PS2. We're talking a machine that has a 300 Mhz CPU with 32MB of ram. The fact that this isn't a slideshow is a miracle.

This game was my late father's all time fav!!! he bought me PS2 but he never really played it himself until i introduced him to this game! i loved watching him getting immersed into the game though he didnt really understand English that much, and so i spent countless nights with him teaching, playing and translating stuff for him, which is a core memory material for me, we had sooo much fun:D he REALLY wanted to see the future of gaming especially the post-PS3 era but sadly he's gone before he could witness it himself, but hey, i got a lot to tell once i meet him later in another life! Thanks for bringing this game to my attention again man, great video as always, keep up the good work! much love❤

Criterion nailed it right out of the box. Love the Burnout games too, insane mayhem racing.

I remember reading a review of this game before it came out and one of the big selling points of BLACK was its destructible environments - buildings would topple, windows get smashed, chunks of walls would come out with explosions - it was incredible for its time.
