What an amazing place. Most definitely GLAMPING. Closest I ever did was camping with my sister the week before I left for college. We took the old camping trailer our family used before upgrading to a pop up trailer that slept 8. The top of the tent trailer is a full size bed and the side of the trailer that is inside the tent is where we keep our clothes and most of the things we needed. Our food was locked in coolers in the trunk of my sister ‘s Oldesmobile. We had gone food shopping on the way out of town. We had the family camp stove and any pots and pans and any other camp gear needed to survive and more. We had some traditional camp type foods but for the most part we decided to be obnoxious and cook gourmet meals over the campfire and the stove. Our campsite was not far from the walkway that lead to the restrooms so we tortured everyone around us with the incredible smells of the cooking food. We actually lost count of the people who stopped and asked what we were making. One night it was Beef strougunff(?) with grilled vegetables. We did cook a lot with wine which was making everything so tender and flavorful. We did a really nice spaghetti one night with fresh toasted garlic bread. We had a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables that we picked up at farm along the drive up into the mountains along the Skyline Drive in Virginia. We had so much fun hiking and exploring on our own as sisters. Generally when we went camping it was with the family or Girl Scout or church related activities. We took tons of photographs and got to talk and reconnect which we hadn’t been able to do in a long time. Thinking about this is making me miss her a lot. I miss my sister from back then because she is completely different now after being in abusive relationships and marriage to a low life who destroyed her children and her and permanently damaged them mentally, emotionally and physically. I really wish her so called friends had never introduced them. The two children from previous relationships would have never been hurt and probably made better choices as they got older. The twins would not have been born, but that might have been better than what they went through during the five years he was in their lives and the boy wouldn’t have been traumatized by his getting up from the bed and falling to the floor dead I front of him.
