OMFG I have been looking for this trick FOR YEARS!! My math teacher taught us this trick when I was in 7th or 8th grade (About 30 years ago lolol). Thank you so much for posting this and now i know how to do it again!! Amazing :)

This doesn't seem to work all the time. For instance if I lay down a 2, then count to 10. Lay down another 2, count to 10 again. The third card by some fluke is also a 2. This means I don't have enough cards to count to 10. If I just lay down the remaining 8 cards, then with 3 2's showing, I'm only counting down 6 cards in the other half of the deck, missing the 7th. If I instead lay the remaining 8 cards on the other half of the deck, then with only 2 2's showing, I'm counting down 4 cards, and will still not count down far enough to reach the correct card, which at this point is 15 cards down. Edit: Actually I found a solution. This works with every combination EXCEPT 3 2's. So you would just have to know that if each column starts with with a 2, (unlikely, but possible) take that third 2 and treat it as if it were a 10 or face card.

You are right about that, but if you hit all 2's then it is time to buy a lotto ticket 😁 the odds are extreme that you would hit it like that

@@3BricksHigher it still works with the 2's or even Aces if you count them as 1, you just have to draw from the top of the 26 stack you set aside.

Grab a deck of cards and make sure you have all 52 of em. Try this and you'll see it does work. Have fun, cause this one blows folk's minds :)

How do you know which card to remember each time??

@@danh7673 Always remember the 7th card down as you count to 26. Then place that stack to the side and continue with the trick.

Tried it. What happens when the 3 cards you put down countdown to ten total more than 26. (2,2,2) You said you only need 26 cards.

I said I only need 26 cards to start the trick. The remaining cards are placed on the deck I set to the side. Then I count down from that deck the total number the face up number cards total.

How do you decide which car is the nth card in the deck based on what’s facing up? You said “based on these cards, I know the 12th card is the 5th of puppy feet”. Why the 5th of puppy feet?

I stumbled upon this problem too while trying it out. This trick works with every combination of cards EXCEPT three 2's. If your third column starts with a 2, treat it like a face card and move it to the bottom of the deck.

I tried it and got 2 aces and a 2 on the 1st attempt, I ran out of cards.
