At around 3:15, there was miscommunication. It is an old tradition, which died in some parts of Turkey, but still lives in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Anatolia. People arrange a dish (usually a meat dish or some sort of stew) on a tray or a clay pot and they send it to their local baker for cooking. In return, the baker charges a small fee. So, the food you wanted to pay for was not for sale. It was prepared by one of their customers and cooked for them. The owner refused your payment and said "This is not ours to sell". He wasn't rude or offensive, but a bit frustrated because he couldn't explain.
@KinoYves2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the explanation. That makes everything clearer. We could not communicate, but the man of the bakery was obviously very nice.

We were also in Mardin in 2020, it is a very beautiful ancient city in the south-eastern part of Turkey, close to the border of Syria the mosque and streets are amazing, and the food is too. Turkish people are very kind and their hospitality and warmth are wonderful. Greetings from Japan.

I have watched all of your videos. I watch on TV, not on account. So it is the first time I do comment. First I am pleased you liked Mardin that much because I am originally from there. To me you are the best youtuber in the world. You share more experience and feeling and you are natural. At least you seem natural. Now I ama watching your Acaba video, your last video that you uploaded. And in this Mardin video the part that you want the meal iş so funny. Because it is not their meal, yhey only Cook it. People go and have their meals cooked in bakeries.
