Tyrone Power is by far, the most beautiful man I have ever seen. I thought that, as a small child, and I think that now as well. He was my first crush and will remain so until the day I die. It is so sad he left this earth as early as he did. He may have not wanted his to wear the mantel of a handsome Hollywood star, but rather a great actor, but he was really both. Too bad he did not know this.

I couldn't have expressed it any better. I remember being 5 or 6 when I first saw Alexander's rag time band......I fell in love with him then. Now at 65 I can still say I love Mr. Power. He is still my favorite actor of all time!

Tyrone Power was beautiful in his young years, however, his looks faded way too soon. The Hollywood lifestyle was way too harsh for his handsome features

+Mia Dallen More the war than the Hollywood lifestyle although he was a very heavy smoker. But given he more than once said he wished he could have a disfiguring accident so that people would take his acting seriously, I have a feeling that he didn't mind so much that his looks faded (although it was only really at the end when he was dying from heart disease that his looks really went - till then he really looked no worse than a lot of others at the same age).

too bad she came in late in his career,if she was with him in the early 30s instead the beginning of the 1940s instead of Loretta young and linda darnell.she was better looking than both those ladies,but they were beautiful in their own right.

That started in 1936 (or rather he became a star in '36, it started far earlier on stage and in bit parts of course), and his first film with Gene Tierney was in 1942. He made a lot of films in those six years, but even not counting the three years he was in the marines, he still had 2/3 of his career ahead of him in 42.
