Hi! Thanks for watching! We’ve yet to time it perfectly for fall colors, but generally I would say mid October would be good.

Hi, what vehicle sis u use when driving thru the dirt road? Will a rav4 make it? Or better to get a bigger suv?

Hi! We have an off road capable Jeep. However, the dirt roads to Cape Clear aren’t too bad and a RAV4 would definitely make 95% of it. You may have to park and walk to the last section. Cars were able to make it (carefully) and walk the last bit (maybe 10lb walk). The dirt road to the Kauzmann trail is a bit rougher, but that being said I think you could still make it going slow and carful. A few cars did that one too.

Aren't there bears and other wildfire to watch for??

Yup! There are bears, moose and coyotes in Cape Breton for sure! We have seen a bear in the distance while hiking, but other than that it's usually just small critters. I really want to see a moose!
