I guess I gotta be _that guy_ and stand up for stamp- and coin collecting. Sure, it's not the most action packed hobby, but it's a pretty interesting way to learn about history. My grandpa held my interest for hours showing me coins that were hundreds of years old and telling me about the wars, kings and queens that lead to their existence. I'm sure it's pretty exciting when you stumble upon a valuable "hidden treasure" as well. Not for everyone, sure, but it has its charms :)

love this show. Anorak is British slang for people with extreme interest in esoteric hobbies such as train spotting. The slang comes from the fact that they often wear unfashionable but practical clothing such as an Anorak coat.

When I go "fishing", I have no intention of catching anything. I use no bait and I have no hook. Just a little weight to make the line work. I just don't want to look stupid standing there in the water and staring into space. Raises the question, though, do I still need a fishing license? Thankfully I've never been checked.

105 thumbs up and one thumb down. The one thumb down must have been a guy named sandi. Great show guys!

No, an "anorak" is not a "dull person," it's someone who's obsessed with an obscure hobby. I believe the term comes from people who are into train-spotting - i.e. hanging around rail yards and train stations, usually wearing a raincoat (anorak), and writing down the plate numbers of trains.

You guys always mention that most people viewing this will be flying Delta, yet I always watch these on my own time. Starting to feel like I might be the boring one.
