My neighbourhood park have a lot of shrikes and shrews, but i didn't know these birds eats mammals, i guess we learn something new everyday 😮

yeah they're quite opportunistic! from my understanding, they go for larger animals more so during the breeding period!

🌈 This bird can sing different tunes. I know they catch lizards but I am unaware they poke their preys onto branches to skin them off for food. They always rest on the highest point of a tree to make noticeable distinctive noises. Their bites are powerful and painful. I rescued one from my kitten's mouth once. 😅
