question about movement tech: Almost immediately after you initiate a slide you can do a pounce (or whatever it's called). You also don't need to roll over a few times before you can jump high enough to continue rolling. I don't get how you do this. I have to be in the middle of a slide before I can do a pounce and say, I start rolling afterwards, I eed to hear those 3/4x bumping before I can jump high enough to not just land on my belly (in RW ofc). How do you do this? Does your pc need performance, is it some movement tech?

@@PDIterator Simplified moveset is a mod that let's you tweak the movement system a bit more to your liking, and generally it is used to make those timings you mentioned easier to deal with, so that's the reason you see me do these moves without having to worry about the timing limitations :)

okay this is the perfect "surprise friends in co-op with a new region with zero context" mod also the death effect at 17:10 caught me so off guard I CAN'T BREATHE LMAOO

Notice how the strange low gravity room at the start (4:55) seems to be damaged. the area with the affects is directly below the gaping hole in the roof, gives the impression that the region contains so much power that being broken messes with physics itself, to me (the one who knows little about physics) atleast. The entire region has a completely different feel to the rest of the game, not in the way that it’s out of place but in the way that it’s very evident (more so than even other regions) that the little slugcat *absolutely* should not be here. This place was in no way ever meant to be an environment for life, there’s even less vegetation and natural grime compared to other regions as if not even seeds or pollinators to help the plant life to grow can survive. The creator of this region looked the people calling rain world a horror game and decided it wasn’t enough.

"it is not a place of honour" from Moon at the end makes me think of the potential message left at a planned nuclear waste containment site. Very striking narratively, to fit those absolutely gorgeous visuals. Makes me wonder what the Ancients used it for - manufacturing weapons, maybe? That, and it outputs into Industrial Complex/Side House, where the religious bone masks were made, and into Shaded CITADEL, near the Industrial gate. Makes me so so curious about the additions to lore/worldbuilding! I've never seen such a complex and animated region before, the sense of scale is AMAZING!! I love how multiple pipes lead to one giant shelter and how you really feel like a little critter slinking thru the pipes. The soundtrack had me bopping 😂 thanks for showcasing this mod, it was a super enjoyable video :)

12:16 honestly quite incredible This region looks insanely cool, shame I don't think I have enough grasp on the movement tech to even *try* something like this, nor the patience honestly. Music's good, the visuals are cool, the new mechanics are neat, looks really well done all around. And I love that the Shelters are doing that late-game downpour thing where the whole room is now a shelter (in downpour it's largely because "the fucking structure fell apart"), and having multiple ways in / out of a shelter is also neat! ALso, I love, LOVE, the moving structures. The sound / impact of said structures also, just, good. Poor lil slugcat getting squished :( God, the music that plays when you get into Crucible. *chef kiss*

Imagine if like getting too cold in the frost you could get too hot in this place. Effectively enables starvation mode, and if you stay too long in the heat you die. Certain areas you gotta be quick to get through or you'll get exhausted before you overheat. Really cool mod region though, the detailing looks vanilla level, and i don't think i've ever seen moving setpieces like that. (Save stuff like the karma-gates. Wonder why there aren't more moving things around actually? To create a world-ambiance of dysfunction maybe? 🤔) Very good stuff in any case.

to me it seems like this region is supposed to be some kind of ore processing facility? my main clues being the crushers, the lava (and/or metal runoff), and just how HOT the region is. The fact that one of the exists is Industrial Complex helps a bit too! the region is definitely really cool!!!! i really like the shelters in the main part of the region too, they look so warm and cozy :] i think i'd sleep there forever. but maybe i only think that because its freezing in my room right now
