1 of my favorite channels on all of youtube!!! I love the level of hard work and untold hours of research and compiling all of these fantastic events from Americas early history!!! Thank you for all the hard work you continue to do in providing such great video content!!! I always loved Americas early history. Now that I'm old and sick, I can't tell you how much your videos do to take me away from my daily grind and teleport me to a place I can only dream of ever knowing. But in my youth I was lucky enough to gain some good outdoor camping and back packing around Mt. Hood OR and other areas. So at least I have been to the mountains enough to understand how truly beautiful they are and know how I never felt closer to God than I did during my trips in the wilds. My wilds being nothing in comparison to any who have ever truly backpacked into remote areas with Grizzly bears and that kind of thing. I was in the "kiddie park" version by comparison. But it was enough to have gotten a good taste of the atmosphere. I would hate to have to ever have dealt with a grizzly bear. My 1 black bear experience was more than enough for me.

Even at my age (64) it’s hard to imagine how these folks survived certain times in history. You have to realize they had to make all considerations. When we hear their food was growing sparse. We think maybe a couple of days. But, they had to think way ahead of that. So many great men that will never be recognized by name existed in those days. Just as in many days before all over the world. I’m thankful God had a plan.

I first got interested in frontier history from Gwynne's book 'Empire of the Summer Moon'. This channel strikes a similar tone. What I'm most struck by is the evil bahaviour of the plains indians. Their love of torture and inflicting prolonged pain even on women and children captives, often using fire to burn them. It's no wonder they were so persecuted after their horrifying treatment of dirt-poor farmers and their families. They were literally stone-age man when the Spenish first arrived. No metal and no horses. It makes you wonder if such cultures represent hunanity taking a wrong turn in the worst possible way.

The buffalo soldiers medal of honor story is straight out of Yellowstone 1883 but REAL i never understood how they can be on horseback encircled by enemies and not get shot, especially when they have Winchesters and 6 shot .32 cal revolvers or 6 shot 44 or whatever, you woudl think that over 2 hours and multiple head on charges that ended in hand to hand combat SOMEONE would land a shot ..... But GOD is good and when it's not your time its not your time

Geronimos last words st 91 before death was, "I should have never surrendered. I should have fought until I was the last man standing". Indians were honorable people The white man broke every promise they ever made. The only promise yhey ever kept was they promised to take their land & they did. Shameful genocide. They took their children from 5-17 they lost their roots & identity. I had Indian friends I heard this directly.
