Jordan also sent the game to overtime in game 3 of the 91' Finals. And in 98' bedsides the clutch series winning shot. He also sent a game into overtime when he assisted Longley. He didn't actually pass to Paxson in 93' though.

Jordan uncharacteristically missed one important free throw before that as well. What I like is how he mentions that himself though in the post game interview. He didn't need to hide it. Never did. Missed the free throw in game 5 as well. But again he made up for it with the rebound and the 3. :)

Nice analysis as always :D Also, I think Steve Kerr's game-winning shot in Game 6 in '97 was actually a tactical battle that had been going on in Game 1 and Game 4. In Game 1, Jordan hit a buzzer-beater on a pull-up jumper after catching the ball in the middle and dribbling 45 degrees to the left. Stockton remembered the spot, and when Jordan caught the ball same spot again in Game 4, (slightly earlier times than Stockton's long pass at 6:08 in this video) he double-teamed Jordan and stole Jordan's shot and allowed Utah to take winning of the game 4. In Game 6, Jordan predicted that Stockton would help double-teamed if he caught the ball in the same spot again and told S.Kerr to be ready. The play worked.

Jordan is the GOAT!! MJ, Magic and Bird are the 3 greatest to ever play the game! I have Magic and Bird tied, they are the only 2 who can say..... I saved the NBA!! Then Jordan took the NBA to heights nobody else could. Nobody can ever change my mind. Without these 3 players, the modern NBA wouldn't exist

Finally! Some love for an underrated series. This one gets lost in the glare of more statistically dominant series by MJ and other great players, but this series may be the best at showing the heart of a champion. Looking forward to watching this one!

One thing to note in the Steve Kerr shot. When he made that shot there was 5 seconds left in the game. Plenty of time for Utah to get the last shot and either tie it, or win it with a 3. It was Scottie Pippen's steal of the inbound pass that really sealed that game. Especially given how well Utah was shooting in that game. Not to take away anything from Kerr's clutch shot, but I remember being on the edge of my seat for that inbound pass, thinking they're gonna tie it or steal the game. Thanks to Pippen I was pleasantly wrong!

Thank you. You are so right that MJ was robbed that year with MVP going to Malone. And as great as Charles was, his MVP should have gone to MJ too. You know they just wanted to give somebody other than MJ a chance to win MVP. That is not what it is supposed to be about.

Bullshit. This was Jordan’s least efficient shooting in the finals. Infact, the second 3peat, his shooting percentages paled compared to his first 3-peat. 98 finals he averaged 44%. Now compare that to his first finals 91 against the Lakers where he shot over 60%. Second finals against Portland 57%. Third finals against Phoenix 55% It is in the first 3-peat we witnessed the goat. His second tour he was a shell of himself
