Disappointed that Bongo being renamed ‘Hendrix’ didn’t somehow turn into it being the old, stinky farm dog owned by the hippies in the episode where Homer discovers his middle named, which was also coincidentally named ‘Hendrix’ 😅 I thought there was some weird connection there.

I like that as inconsistent as the Simpsons is, they manage to keep up with the idea of Homer being really into music. It kinda makes his relationship with Maggie even sweeter because she obviously inherited it from him and managed to achieve that level of Stardom that he was never able to.

Also I think it's the crayon and the radiation that turned Homer into, well, Homer. I don't like thinking about the Simpson gene. Not because I dislike the episode, because I don't, but I feel sorry for Bart knowing that he'll eventually become thick as pig smeg. Poor smeghead. He's a little git but I love him.
@Horsley-Green7 ай бұрын
Also also, I prefer they stick to one time period. I'm a fan of things from before I was born in December 2004, and I'll be horrified if Homer is eventually said to be born around the same time as me. I wish I was born around about the same time as you were; Simpsons followed by Robot Wars sounds awesome, but watching Simpsons on Disney Plus and Robot Wars on here doesn't feel the same, even if I wasn't there at the time. Or even if I was born a decade before that, 1980s and 90s British sitcoms are my favourite things to watch. They have a couple good ones across the pond too: Simpsons obviously, but I like watching Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria in Herman's Head on here too. And my dad is always happy if I stick on a bit of Married With Children or Home Improvement.

Hey, so I found 2 predictions in season 20, episode 8, the burns and the bees. The first prediction I saw was the mavericks and the Celtics, now these two nba teams indeed have played each other before, however, this year on June 6, they will be playing each other for the first time in nba history, seemed kind of odd to me, and nobody has actually made any content about it. The other prediction is near the end of the episode. Burns builds a brand new stadium for his basketball team, and bees get released into the stadium, which recently happened with the state farm stadium in Arizona. I think it would be pretty cool if you made a video about these two predictions, as nobody has before. Thanks if you read this comment, also if you do make a video about it, please mention that I found out about it.

The reason Homer is so dumb is actually because of the crayons. It was confirmed in a later episode that there was a crayon stuck up in homers brain, and once some doctors removed it, he became much more intelligent than usual.
@lightgivemepower64256 ай бұрын
Honestly this just tells me that Homer's life would of been better if some of these events happened differently. Homer in these flashbacks and comics shown that he use to be smart, and even after the simpsons genes hit(as well as the radiation and the crayon cramped into his brain), he was still shown to be talented and gifted, especially when he's motivated enough. But with Mona and Abe arguing all the time, Abe not being supportive of Homer, and Mona and Bongo Leaving because of Mr.Burns... Homer's life up until he married Marge is mostly depressing

The Simpsons timeline has been floating since they decided to make "Lisa's First Word". People mostly dislike "That 90's Show" just because it makes them feel old. I, for one, think that part of the charm with the Simpsons is that they're so universal that they can fit in any time and place. Just look at the anthology stories! I do however have some issue with how they've retconned that Homer thought Mona was dead until present day-age. That messes majorly with the history in relation to the characters' lives, independent of our real world time.

The Simpsons writers could really benefit from a simplified timeline like this if they ever plan to tackle their lives again within the continuity. If they every do decide to close off a chapter of the Simpson lives, I really do hope they put a lot of effort by respecting the years of work that has been put into shaping these characters.

Honestly, I think that is what makes it so hard for me to watch the Simpsons and to get back into them, the floating timeline. Like, you get invested in the characters, and their history which doesn't exist. But it did, but now it's different, and it's just to loosey-goosey. Like every year I watch the Treehouse of Horror, because those are fun, and consistency doesn't matter, and I love watching the episodes set in the future, with Bart and Lisa as adults. It honestly may have been better if they had continued, and allowed the Simpsons to grow, instead of forcing them to stay locked in this nebulous timeline. I love the future episodes.
