@@TotalConScience Not an accurate way of looking at it. He can use fury and a dice that's at least 3 in order to get the 4 ones necessary to deal 4 damage. Or he could use his resources differently. The cost is still 4 dice. Those dice could be used with his poison thing to get 3 poison, and increase 3 of the ones to twos. Then use those twos to deal damage with the knife and use the twos that flip to fives to put into a different counter. Or he could use the fury for something else entirely like that thing he got to deal 8 fire damage and burn 2 dice. When that's doubled it gets to be 16 damage and 4 dice burnt. That's a much better use of fury than being completely required to enable this dumb ability to just deal 12 damage and do nothing else.

@@orangesilver8 yeah I really didn't get the nanobots play. Like sure, if you use your ult to get 4 ones, while still having the fury, yeah that's 24. But you don't always have your ult ready, and equally those 4 ones could be used in butterfly knife to make 6s you can use for countdowns.

I'm not saying nanobots was the play. I'm just saying while he had that fury buff, he had a for sure way of getting 12 damage for the cost of one of the original dice on a turn. And considering he already 3 additional dice after that and only had 4 pieces of equipment, it doesn't seem bad on the surface. Effectively turning one die to four and using three equipment slots for 12 dmg is not efficient like you said. But at a quick glance at the input and outcome, it looks like 1 die for 12 dmg. As stated prior by others, he also went for higher chance to roll 4+ and picked low roll equipment and didn't take full advantage of the free countdown upgrades. There's a lot to say for his (mis)plays this run.

Nanobots is probably the worst equipment I've seen for the cost/size. It has to only be there for a damage option incase you get cursed to roll only 1s or constantly frozen etc.

Man! That was super cool!!! I love that thorns build you ended up with! I think it's a real testament to just how incredibly powerful a build it was when your back is to the wall, you're at super low HP vs the warlock and you still manage to deal over half his hp in one turn and pull out the win. That kind of thorns build and the status effects where you're hunting for ones and have to use the Butterfly Knife a bunch, man oh man. Love it. Imo that's Dicey Dungeons at it's strongest. You've got the tools to put together some massive misplays or massive damage! :D:D:D:D

@@Tonks143 I've never heard anyone pronounce it Eeva. "mh" or "bh" is what makes a "v" sound in the Irish language. For example, Caoimhe is pronounced "Kee-va".

@@jasonschuler2256 Ok Irish descent I speak Scots Gaelic and in my accent Eefa and Eeva sounds basically identical and the Anglicization of Aoife is Eva. So I just thought I'd add that you could safely pronounce it Ee-va

@@Tonks143 Well, the Anglicization is not as directly straight forward as that. Eva is actually a Latin name that was derived from a Hebrew name. The English counterpart of the Latin name Eva is Eve. Now, Aoife is derived from an older Irish name, Aoibh, which would be pronounce "Eve" is English. So, many people consider Eva a modern-day Anglicization of Aoife, even though that's not really how the name developed. Sorry, I realize I sound like a massive nerd, but this stuff fascinates me. But anyway, if it's specifically spelled Aoife, I would say you should pronounce it "Ee-fa". If that sounds basically identical to "Ee-va" in your accent, then it's kind of a moot point for you. But in my accent there is a noticeable difference between "Ee-fa" and "Ee-va".

Okay I reckon the thorns build would be amazing @15:41 Tom has 1, 4, 3, 6 And Unlucky roll and fury This is what I envisioned he could have done, please check my maths I was shit at school xD 6 Goes to Thumbtacks = + 2 Thorns * 2 for fury = 4 Thorns 4 Goes to Snake Eye Charm = getting 2 ones He now has 1, 1, 1, 3 All Ones go into Cell division = Singer has 3 poison, Tom has 2, 2, 2 3 3 goes into Butterfly knife = Flipping one of the 2s into a 5 5 goes into Rosepetals = 4 + (2x4[thorns]) = 12 damage Use Unlucky roll - We now have 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1 2 into butterfly knife = should flip one of the 1s into 6 & does 2 damage 6 into thumbtack = + 2 thorns 2 into butterfly knife = 1 flipped into 6 & 2 damage 6 into thumb tack = +2 thorns 1 into butterfly knife = last 1 flipped into 6 & 1 damage Final 6 into thumbtacks = +2 thorns This ends the turn for a total of 17 damage + 3 poison + 10 thorn damage singer will do to herself after attacking tom We'll deal 30 damage total after 1 of singers turns and then you can just do whatever cause she'll have 18hp left. Disclaimer: theres probs another way to do this but this is probably the most controlled way i could think of you using it.
