The fact that he was a meaningless player on a replacement team is why he was kept around. There used to be a presumption of innocence in this country. It wasn't the climate it is now. Today, all it takes is some female saying she was "harassed" and a male celebrity is cancelled and blackballed. He hadn't been convicted of anything. Shula obviously saw something in him during practice. As far as keeping him around until February he broke his leg and even though he was a replacement player the NFL still had to cover his injury. You're making a bigger deal out of this than it deserved.

That season should have been shut down as soon as the strike began.

For example: Watch closely on short 3rd downs, Cowboys will usually line-up in zone defense and allow an easy conversion catch. And even when they line-up in Man, they will give 7-Yards cushions that make it easy for Tom to convert for a 1st down. In a real game defense always line up in tight, man-to-man and sticks to receivers like glue, making it hard to complete a short pass for a first down. (Tom's own defense will apply tight man-coverage throughout the game. And always on 3rd downs.) Also: Notice how the Easy-Level Cowboy defense will leave Tom's RB completely uncovered throughout nearly the entire game. This makes no sense but it's important to let Tom toss to his RB if he gets confused. (Tom's own Buc defense will always cover the RB, since that's the logical thing to do.) Finally: Watch when Tom goes deep...the Cowboy defender will ignore the ball and never look back to intercept or deflect it. (Tom's Buc D will always look back and try to intercept or deflect if they possibly can, since they won't be defending on Easy-Level.) *If you pay attention to these three keys on Sunday Night you'll discover that Tom is playing on Easy-Level and isn't actually good at real football.*

Wait, I want some clarification on the circumstances of the incident related to his case. The handgun in question originally belonged to a drug dealer whom he and his companion(s) encountered prior to the incident and stole said firearm. What I want clarified is who actually pulled the trigger. It sounded to me like it was his companion(s) and not himself. If that's so, wouldn't that make him an accomplice/accessory to the murder and not the murderer himself?
