@michaelgum97 Жыл бұрын
Wait, *burned down*?? How?? I need details dammit!
@moodymermaid3690 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelgum97 - Okay, so, one of the places she acquired was a popular town grill. For context on how much people loved that place, people are still talking about it twenty-six years after its demise, trying to petition for a rebuild. Anyway, about a month into her ownership, the whole place went up in flames. The fire department said it was due to faulty wiring, which this lady had "fixed" upon gaining the place. So, she probably hired some sketchy, under-the-table electrician(s). Now, the grill was the second time she'd caused a place to go under in some way, so there were a lot of raised eyebrows. After that, she someone managed to acquire a little thrift shop and dug it into so much debt that they were forced to close. This woman single-handedly took away every small pleasure this small town had, and people are still mad about, lol. I was a toddler when the grill burned down, yet I'm still mad because I remember how good their fry-shakes (sticking fries around the rim of a milkshake) were, lol.

This guy was the reason why Japanese games like RPGs, 2D Platformers, certain fighting games or anything with the smell of anime weren't allowed to be released in the U.S. for a while the only good thing that happened was that it lead to the creation of MegaMan Legends/Rockman DASH. Fun fact Rockman 8 Metal Heroes and Rockman X4 weren't originally going to release on the PlayStation in the U.S but because Capcom had a good relationship with Sony Phil bent the rules for Inafune as long as the PlayStation versions of 8 and X4 had exclusive content and as long as Sony got not only exclusive Rockman games but the first 3D Rockman game had to release on the PlayStation.

Sony USA was so weird they forced games to be sold in Two packs if they had no Extras on PSP/PS2 see Metal Slug 4 and 5. They Rejected 3 saying it wasnt good engough see PSP Breath of Fire 3 too. Then in PS3 era for a while they forced in US region only games with no English Dub to be Digital only. Namco did this with most Anime games on PSP/Vita only in US too. But Reggie from Nintendo was doing stuff like this too on Wii.3DS,DS, just for US region but on games Nintendo Developed in House.

The best explanation I can think of why Sony priced the PS3 at $599 at launch is due to the Blu-ray format Sony exclusively owned at the time. Blu-ray was new, fancy, and pricey. Players by themselves were around $200-$250 if I recall. On top of being a Blu-ray player, the PS3 had Internet access and could play CD's. That might explain why the price point was so high. Nintendo's consoles after the Wii are priced low due to them using older technology.

Say what you will about the dunking Sony gave Microsoft at the end of their 2013 E3, but around the middle, they had a big chunk of movie talk with Sony Pictures. These two are lucky E3 2021's press conferences that weren't by the ones from the big 3 that participated or devolver were so bad they even make Nintendo's E3 2015 digital event look like their 2004 conference
