Is where you live safe? Cause for many of us, it’s not safe. Sure, crime had gone down a lot since a peak in the mid 1990s, but a recent spike last summer has a lot of police agencies scrambling for a solution. If you live in a big city or near one, chances are you are pretty close to a danger hotspot. And even if you know which parts of town to stay away from, the crap can sneak up on you at any time.
Today, we’re going to visit the most dangerous place in every single state. Some of these will be no surprise to anyone - they are major cities that have struggled with crime for a long time now. Some WILL be surprising - and a lot of these places you may not have even heard of before.
But if you LIVE in or near one of these danger zones, you’ll be able to identify. Cause no matter how much you want to skew numbers or say where you live is great, you can’t argue with statistics. And some of these statistics are outright alarming.
Well, we have a lot of ground to cover, since we have to go to each and every state. So we should probably get going. We can’t stay in one place too long, because, then we’re a target for criminals. Here are the most dangerous cities in every single US state.

As a military kid, growing up while my dad was serving in West Germany, even as young as 5 years old, the Cold War was still going on. There were hardcore terrorists groups that would bomb 💣 places, kidnap high ranking officials, and incite riots and protests. This made me very vigilant and try to be aware of people and my surroundings. And you can learn a lot just by listening to the atmosphere around you. When the birds aren't whistling, this means something is about to happen.

I live in Vegas and my mother had Jury Duty. The case was a gas station robbery in North Las Vegas. A gang robbed the gas station, kidnapped the clerk, tortured him, and killed him. Then, they put the body in a stolen car and exploded the car. The main gang member was caught on interstate 15 fleeing to Los Angeles. He was charged with homicide, kidnapping, robbery, and murder. He was charged for 150 years in prison. The other gang members have not been caught yet. All of this happened 2 years ago in 2019 and they are trialing him in 2021! My mom said she was happy that they didn't accept her. 17:20 and yes you are right, there is almost a weed store almost every block! And my parents had drunk homeless crying in our porch, twice!! And the education in Nevada sucks! And there is almost a DUI almost every day. And people here suck at driving. And the heat is unbelievable in the summer, it can get as high as 116 Degrees F in the summer, so hot that it can melt car paint and touching a 116 degrees setbelt is not pleasant. The casinos is overwhelming and for a pre teen, there is nothing to do. The park is a bad idea because of the heat, to drink, smoke, gamble, and to enter a nightclub, you need to be 21, to drive a car you need to be 16, and once your older than 7, Chuck E Cheese is not fun. And in all of Nevada, there is only one Dave and Buster's, but most people cant go because they are in poverty! But there are some pros Las Vegas is a 4 hour drive from LA, 3 hour drive from Phoenix, 2 hour drive from the famous Area 51, and a 8 hour drive from Reno, (which in my opinion, Reno is a smaller mix of LA and Las Vegas). We also have lots of cool, fun, casinos (well for adults i guess), we are also a hour and a half drive from Pahrump, where you can legally buy fireworks and have prostitutes! We also have the mob museum, which is very cool. We also have hoover dam, Lake Las Vegas, Anthem (Las Vegas version of Beverly Hills with less crime and Hollywood actors) Henderson (A cheaper version of Anthem), LAS (McCarran International Airport, which is the best airport in man kind), lots of cool cars that you can rent, and lots of malls Like Town Square and Fashion Show Mall. We also have the Allegiant Stadium and the T Mobile Arena Please like this comment, it took me and hour to write.

If there's one takeaway for me from this video, it's that our government policies, doing nothing to stop manufacturing and rural industry from moving to other countries, have gutted rural communities and led to high crime rates and suffering there. People are flocking to cities for service-industry and tech jobs, leaving their communities hollow, boarded-up. Some are stuck in those small towns, unable to leave. Once the tech jobs are done being outsourced--phew, I don't even want to consider the aftermath.

And one of the central tenets of Common Law is that you cannot charge a person with a crime or inflict pain of penalty on them for doing something that was legal at the time they did it and has since been made illegal. So If I legally buy a gun today, you cant change the law tomorrow to make it illegal and then charge me with breaking the law and confiscate my gun. That's what all these gun control people, who clearly have no idea how the law or civil rights work, get wrong the whole "take them away" argument. This dude is judging how bad a neighborhood is by looking at the shape of the buildings. The worst neighborhoods are 20 minutes south east of downtown, and a few uptown and northwest of downtown. The ones south east is where the major crime happens, the ones just north of downtown are mainly just homeless people camps. Like just blocks of tents. Emeryville is like 10-15 minutes northwest of the homeless people area. Like 30-40 minutes from the crime hood. Oakland has a crazy amount of graffiti everywhere so some places look worse than they are.

As an Indiana native I live 30 minutes away from South Bend & an hour away from Benton Harbor, these stats don't even cover half of the crime in these places. The amount of unreported crime would scare you! They also didn't mention that people just disappear, here today gone...tomorrow and no one says a word. Families left to wonder where there loved one is and all anyone says is "they're an adult, they can leave if they want to". Also, the absolute WORST thing to happen to South Bend was there mayor, good ol Pete Buttiguge (not sure of the spelling). The city was on the uptick until he came into office. With every passing year it got exponentially worse!

South Bend is the only town on this list that I spent any time in. That was many many years ago. I was there with my parents. Nothing bad happened but my folks decided to move to Tennessee after only two months in South Bend. The reason: My Dad's job fell through. I agree about Mayor Pete. He's in over his head just like the Veep. Both of their jobs should fall through. In my opinion.

I worked in Emeryville, Ca. for a year. I'd pull in to the area super early in the morning to avoid traffic and just sleep before we'd start at 6am. Never saw or even heard anything. It was really nice during the day also. We'd take lunch outside on the city provided park benches. Never ever did we see trouble. Not once. The job was down the street and three blocks west of city hall. Had a small town feel to it. I was surprised to see it's rating.

Seeing Mayfield on here knowing that community got completely flattened by an EF4 tornado late in 2021 saddens me, but also gives me hope that the community will recover. Few things reverse fortunes for a city than bouncing back from an unavoidable catastrophe like a storm.

@@jessturner6886 I remember watching one of those storm chaser shows when they were near Greensburg when it happened. They drove through right after and it was devastating to see. Wasn't it like 90% of the town's buildings were wiped out? I've gone on Google Street View recently to see it and it looks so nice. They really ran with their name and tried to make their town as green as possible.

This was a very educational program as I owned a building 80 feet from that specific intersection. I sold the building and retired from being a landlord as the crime statistics were headed south You use a solid base of publicly available crime, 😮 statistics and educational statistics to do your rankings. Thank you for these very educational and informative programs. Say hello to MAPIE and please introduce him to the chief of police or the sheriff here in South Bend.

Mt.Vernon Illinois was a shock to me. I spent a summer there 20 years ago and I would describe it as a sleepy little farm town. I used to drink at a little bar that was frequented by a cop. When I was going to leave early because I was concerned about DWI, the deputy told me that if I was pulled over to just tell them I was hanging out with him.

I grew up in Jefferson County where Mt. Vernon is located. My great great grandfather and family was actually one of the first families to settle in Jefferson County in 1851. I left there in 1965 after Army and never went back except to visit. I still have lots of friends and relatives that live in that area. I was amazed that the city is rated worse than Chicago. Like Jim when I was a teenager hitting all the bars I knew all the policemen and state policeman assigned to Mt. Vernon. When they stopped me which was often (LOL) they always told me to get my tail home. I only recall getting one traffic ticket in Mt. Vernon when I was home on leave from that Army. I deserved that one for sure. I married my wife who lived in Mt. Vernon in 1965 and we are still married. Lived in IL, OH, AZ, and now TX.
