Thanks for the recap. Racing sometimes over the edge in gusty, powered conditions. Difficult even on a reach. Wonder if a longer leg to the first buoy or the double wide first set of buoys like a few of the Pozo heats had would reduce the carnage at least at the initial jibe mark? How many backup boards, masts, sails are allowed? What are the criteria for allowing use if your registered gear is trashed or damaged?

I agree on the stream. That is top-notch entertainment! I hope the PWA has a successful pitch with a TV station or streaming service in the long run: The stream minus general recalls and delays. Maybe in the long run more people learn that windsurfing is great spectator sports.

On the foil, it looks like there is not as much variety of arc in the gybe compared to fin - is this right? Also no possibility to adjust the arc once you've committed?

Great results Nico, congratulations🤙. However, it is now certain that the foil is very dangerous, today it went well but it is only a matter of time before someone gets really hurt; you have to try to make it less dangerous because this way it seems like the F1 of the 80s when the most exciting thing was the accidents in the race.

Nice intro Nico. I created an app to do starts on my phone, with waterproof headphones to listen to countdown, so I stll have to do a manual timer start. Do you listen to your watch or device, or is the countdown broadcast by the boat somehow?

How much faster is foil windsurfing than fin? I haven’t windsurfed in years due to developing ALS 7 years ago. I am now fully paralyzed, but I enjoy reliving my windsurfing days through your videos! :-)
