Athena's passive cooldown won't count as long as the hero is in combat (like rapid boots passive). Is this item still good on tank(s) since thier job is to tank damage for their team?

Modern tanks don't rely on items anymore as all def items got nerfed and even with their tanky effects, nothing can withstand the burst of today's meta as such, tanks like Fredrinn or Minotaur works best with either they take down atleast one enemy or do so much CC the enemy disappears before they can do a thing. Sad thing is, there is no longer tanking for their team. Its either our team dies, or theirs do since everyone does true damage or ignores defences altogether.

Wishing lantern just makes me think back to when glowing wand used to be so bad tbh with it’s current hp passive. Could not for the life of me understand why people used that item way back then, but I’m so ready to try this one lmao. Like I do agree that this new item is a bit overtuned on some heroes and they really need to do something about that; BUTTT its current hp magic damage which technically is countered by magic resist; I think 10% is a bit too high yes but I mean there’s so much healing in the game anyways/shielding. Wish instead of them nerfing the items, they would just, add, more, items. And on top of this. even so still. My one pet peeve is like- I see sooo many complaints about the item- but NO one understands the pain of playing Kagura into baxia/fred/barats jungle meta/ yu zhong/esme tanky exp meta/ a tanky tank support like khufra or a healer like Estes/Floryn that just heal the other tanks and get Athena’s; ( all 3 of them building magic resist) with a rose gold meteor tough boots tenacity adc; and spending the entirety of the game not able to dps because divine glaive doesn’t help early game/ and glowing wand does mediocre damage on her soo I don’t feel bad for y’all lmao. 🤷🏽‍♂️ (It is nice to finally after 8 years build something else other than glowing wand and lightning trunch for a viable build. Hopefully it doesn’t take them another 8 :D )

Radiant got nerf because for p2w change'e aspirant even after event they didn't revert instead they add dhs but mage version to literally obliterated for "tanks jungler" [they didn't aware tank roamer exist lol] and when the new season begins the meta arise of assasin and mage like wth moonton [i understand assasin need justice but that doesn't mean they have to overbuff them and mages excuse me? Divine glave and glowing wand literally can dominate magic defense the only left is athena but still doesn't enough and now they add wishin lantern to counter high hp tanks] EDIT:even they did buff/revamp the only 2 item tanks are twilight armor [reduce burst damage but need scale based on high hp but if encounters DPS + Burst hero like natan it can be useless because he can use dhs+ wishin lantern] and thunderbelt [permanent increase hybrid defense by 2 but need to use basic attack but that item aren't necessary for initiator cc tank unlike hylos/belerick/gatot and fredd can only benefit with this]

As a tank/mage main (Esme/Alice), this item does not give me disadvantages nor any advantages. But wow could you imagine the advantage you'll get with this item + Sky Piercer when using Alice's second skill. We bout to melt all that hp down to 0.
