The most DANGEROUS hike in the UK? (Tryfan & Bristly Ridge)

Wales you’re incredible. We had an adventurous 6-hour hike with some of the steepest scrambles and most dramatic views in the UK, climbing Tryfan North Ridge and Bristly Ridge on Glyder Fach.
Last year we had the pleasure of visiting Wales while going to Mount Snowdon via the Horseshoe route (via Crib Goch ridge) and fell in love with Snowdonia National Park straight away.
The route that climbs the North Ridge of Tryfan and Bristly Ridge is similar in difficulty to that of Snowdon via Crib Goch, it packs a punch and makes it an unforgettable mountaineering experience.
From the summit of Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr we also had a full panorama of the surrounding mountains and of Mount Snowdon itself. This was every mountaineer’s dream.

That looks fun. I have never been in Wales for the mountains. The scouts would say aonach Eagach at glen coe which is one of those linear trips with no escape to the side (notched ridge with some good scrambling). Otherwise there are some fantastic things to climb in Scotland. Cicerone Scotland mountain ridges of a good start but much needs rope. Scottish mountains are superb.

Tryfan is a fantastic mountain,but for danger it wouldnt be in my top 100. Try the famous Scottish ridges:Liathac,An Teallach,Aonach Eagach,and of course the incredible Cuillins of Skye.These are dangerous !

You should come and try some of the hikes where I live, in Tenerife. Some great climbs and trails. There is a hill near my house that is 1004m, a nice 3.5 hour hike from the beach to the top.

7:27 - inadvertent slip. I guess that's why your instructor Nick builds anchors sometimes! To guard against slips becoming falls.

In Mountaineering there's a balance in-between speed and security. If you build and anchor for every scramble you'll get caught out every time. Inadvertent slips can equally happen on a sidewalk 😊 Thanks for watching!

Great video. It was hard to tell which lines you took, on Bristly did you take 'Sinister' or 'Dexter' Gully or did you take some crazy route in Grade 3 territory!

At 7:26, you had one fair left hand hold (which I very much doubt would have held you if there was further for your feet to travel) and one non-existent right hand hold. Complacency is a killer, please be careful!!!.

Great video, thank you but you should work on your pronunciation. The letter F is pronounced like a V in the Welsh alphabet and CH is pronounced as it is for the musician Bach. I’m not even going to try to explain how a Y is pronounced 😆

It is nowhere near the most dangerous hike in the uk 😂 10 hours to do that route. You could do it 2.5 times in 10 hours.
