Honestly, I have a theory on this. I think Homie might be trying to play 4D chess. Think about it. 1: Dude has almost 400k subs but makes very little money. 2: he decides outright ridiculously controversial takes will garner attention to his channel ( positive or negative as long as engagement takes place to boost his channel in the algorithm). 3: He finds someone who shares the same space thematically with him that is attached in some way, shape, or form to some very large content creators.4. He name drops these content creators in a negative way, driving them to make reactionary videos 5. These reactionary videos drive a significant portion of these larger content creators audiences to his channel to negatively comment on a video that doesn't exist anymore so they have to reply on other videos with less views, which in turn shows higher viewership and more interaction on his channel, potentially promoting his channel even more based on the algorithm. 6: He takes a month off to let the controversy build then will probably upload a video that, based on the points above, will probably garner him some of the highest viewership and interaction his channel has seen. TLDR, I feel this is a promotional stunt on his part and he's trying to play "the heel" as it were.
