Nobody ever shows it, but the lap before Edwards turned Keselowski at Atlanta, Edwards came off turn 4 literally sideways, trying to take a swipe at his back bumper, but just missed. The fact that such a blatant attempt to wreck another driver resulted in a measly 3-race probation is astounding. Make no mistake, that inaction by NASCAR (and how it solved absolutely nothing) is likely one of the reasons that Kenseth was given a 2-race suspension for intentionally wrecking Logano.

In addition to all this, I believe Brad played a big role in hindering Edwards' chances at the 2011 Cup championship at Homestead. Brad was in front of Carl on the final restart, and while Tony Stewart drove around both of them and away, Keselowski wouldn't let Edwards get by him until a couple laps later. Ultimately, Carl never had the chance to catch up to Tony. Just a theory, but I think that should've been worth mentioning.

Well you can't say that Brad K didn't consistently use Edwards up leading up to the fued. With that said Edwards clearly had anger management issues. I think it's one reason he decided to walk away. He is a nice guy to a fault but was far too easy to push over the edge as well.
