@@nikurepublic not at all. He has been teaching for 20 years. I saw him talk in 2008 after he was on a two year long sadhana. That just shows that you can pretend to be a teacher on youtube and get million of followers and someone who is genuine, like Jason and the numerous Swamis, get no followers. That is just part of the kali yuga. People follow the glib, as Confucius said. But they don't follow true teachers. Jason is a true teacher and has been for a long time. That is why he is respected by sincere students in India.

Jason, how do I explain to my friends and family that I’m not depressed? I’ve been on the spiritual path for few years now and to them all they see is a person that no longer enjoys activities that used to bring them joy. But for me I found the underlying cause for those activities to be related to some sort of childhood trauma.

Ask the jiva fins your prospective changes. Once you get close to liberation, you begin to understand the illusion more and more. The reason the book is dangerous not is because you can take it wrong. If you are in a full jiva state. You have to do the work to thin the jiva. So, Jason, have you reached liberation?
