in my headcannon the dimensional horror is much, much, much larger(possibly galaxy or even universe size) than the part that manages to breach into our dimension. We merely fight one if it's tendrils trying to enter Stellaris galaxy. The empires have a responsibility to seek and destroy any portals into that world before they grow larger and larger, eventually letting the being at the other side in. I wish both Stellar Devouer and Dimensional horror got stronger over time, not too quickly obviously but something like 2x strength for every 50 years would still be crushed easily by late game empires while simultaneously sending a message that those are not just star-system sized tile blockers that can be freely ignored if in remote location or destroyed for some loot. They should feel like an actual threat looming over the galaxy.

Technically it’s not organic so I suppose I can keep it’s eggs? The elder will have a place in my heart as the worse and the worse. First - Rogue Servitor decided to take one of the pieces back to a Bio-trophy world. I screamed at the computer this was a terrible idea and I even jettisoned it into space, feeling really bad for the damage it had already done. Out of curiosity I decided to reload the save and see what happened if I didn't... and, yeah, that ended poorly. Do you know what happens to a Rogue Servitor when the largest mass if bio-trophies just vanish into a mini-black hole? I don't either, when I regained consciousness I was back in the other save. Second - Fallen Empire decided to make an example of my death cult... Earlier on I had triggered the birth of this thing and accepted the offer it was making. Put down a habitat in that sector, black ops site and all sorts of other things you expect from a death cult. Figured it was going to end badly but... nope, that thing turned out to be my best of friends that play through. For some reason the fallen empire didn't want to step foot into that sector, even when the habitat became the lone station of my empire, everything else completely wiped out by a much stronger force. I outlasted on war weariness... death cult, so they really where doing my people a favor! Considering the Death Cult ate the universe in the end, this defense of my nation was not at all a good act. For that reason I consider that Elder thing as the worse, it has helped in the destruction of whole universes and will do so again. For it knew, it knew who it was making a deal with... and we both just grinned right at the end there. This is why I love Stellaris: Simple things become backbones for whole stories.

The Player Empires are also the only ones that can become the Crisis themselves, too. Should they succeed in their efforts, the entire galaxy gets wiped to nothing more than black holes and shielded or shattered worlds.

@@kennyholmes5196 The AI can become the Crisis too. I usually purposely let purifier factions thrive for fun. So I know. Obviously, when they reach the final stage, I erase their civilization from every record to every species in the galaxy. Might only be possible in Grand Admiral tho. It never happens in any other difficulty of my game even tho I always have organic bad, hungry Bois, the Imperial and sometimes Zuckerbergs : Origin and the Quiet kids mid game crisis

I’m curious, is there any specific reason you didn’t include the shroud entities on this list? Or just wanted to focus on things that physically showed in-game?
@TheRedKing11 ай бұрын
Yeah pretty much, i'd covered the Shroud gods in a fairly recent video and also my thinking is that they can't really affect you unless you're specifically psionic... If you're just a regular old empire you'd have no idea they even exist.

It's a space based scifi game in which you take over the galaxy. Think like conquering the Milky Way, anyway you can be anything from reptiles, to archnoids, humans, robots, psionic entities, ageless necromancers (basically), and use what you want to control/conquer/enslave the galaxy. Or you can just do what I do and make a small pocket for yourself and let everyone else fight it out

Sentience and sapience are two term that are often confused. We will examine the difference between the definitions of sentience and sapience, where these words came from and some examples of their use in sentences. Sentience means the ability to feel things, the ability to perceive things. Any living being that has some degree of consciousness is sentient, including insects, lizards, dogs, dolphins and human beings. The word sentience is derived from the Latin word sentientem, which means feeling. The adjective form is sentient. The word sentience is often misused to mean a creature that thinks. Sapience means the ability to think, the capacity for intelligence, the ability to acquire wisdom. The scientific name for modern man is Homo sapiens. Sapience only describes a living being that is able to think. The word sapience is derived from the Latin word sapientia, which means intelligence or discernment. The adjective form is sapient. Note that sentience is often misused in place of the word sapience.

@@TheRedKing I'm playing on a unique galaxy map that has allot of dangers like rogue AI and pirates that spawn naturally making it hard to expand, sometimes star nations might get a bad spawn and spawn stuck between 2 hostile fleets that basically makes it impossible to expand until they are able to make something as or more powerful then the fleets in the systems they neighbor so there might be a chance they are just stuck lol
