that was a super sick play, I think it works almost every time against a player who isn’t in the “call and go home” mentality. Even if it doesn’t work it is good for balance. Never be afraid to go for it when the time is right
@linus5885

I disagree, First of all, the player had great odds calling the raise. Secondly Brad having hearts and putting the big blind on hearts without high cards does not make a lot of sense. You don’t want to have hearts in your hand when u bluff this spot, you unblock the blockers. But Brad showed a lot of heart and that’s what I fuckkng love about him. Very entertaining.

It's a terrible play and he picked the worst person to bluff. You don't need to find crazy ways to punt off your stack while giving your opponent too good of odds to fold. You shouldn't bluff the guy on tilt who just got bluffed big.

I'm curious what people think of raising the turn at 5:16. I feel like this would isolate the other player's range and provide pot control if you're beat on the river. Sure you have the chance of being re-raised, but I find that unlikely in this situation, esp given the read on this player. If I'm out of line with this thinking, I'd also love to understand why. Such a great vlog, Brad! Best of luck at all of your upcoming tables!

Nice try, Brad! I thought you’d get a hand like that to fold for sure. I made a similar play with AsQd on a Q6510Q board with four spades. My opponent only had about $360 behind after I 3-bet shoved the river. The pot was probably close to $2.5k after my shove. I was the pre-flop aggressor and concluded he had flopped a set and rivered a full-house after he raised my river bet. So, I figured my flush was no good but I was blocking queens-full and quad queens. So, I went for the hail-Mary bluff that couldn’t possibly look like a bluff. He was a sharp player, so I figured he might talk himself into a fold even though he was getting like 7-to-1 odds on a call. He folded 6s-full and I showed the bluff to tilt him. 😂

Thanks a lot. Those places used to not allow filming, not sure what their policies look like now. I tend to tip on the higher side to show appreciation for the hard work that the poker room staff puts in. Most people tip $1 per hand and if they win a bigger-sized pot, they'll occasionally tip more. If I win big all ins for $1000+ I'll sometimes tip $5-$10+ depending on how large the pot is. Usually at the end of my sessions I tip the cashier everything I have under $10. I'm not necessarily the example to follow though; the staff doesn't expect that much from everyone. If you're playing 1/3 and cash out for $250, you should't feel obligated to tip $8 to cashier.

I made more money in tournaments this year but it was really skewed by one terrible week of high stakes in Austin. After that week I won $150k+ in cash games in much smaller stakes. I actually had a great year in cash if you look at % of sessions won and BB's won/hr. I also ran well in tournaments when I needed to for some very big buy-in events that those tournament results are skewed from doing well in high stakes.
