There were a number of states not mentioned, Alaska, Oregon, New Mexico, Montana, the Dakota’s, Nebraska, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Rhode Island…pretty sure there were a few others.

Hi, pralines also dominate Louisiana territories as well. The original french praline was not a pecan candy. It used almonds. If you ever come here get some homemade pralines or pecan candy. Everybody loves it from here. I don't know how they compare to Texas type.

Ok that does it you really screwed up.. pecan pie was not or ever has been an Oklahoma thing only pie they have are cow pies .. pecan pie is a Tx institution and was invented here and theres doccuments for it and we grow the most pecans in the country..yes you find the trees elsewhere and pie too .but texas grows the most and we're the place that the pie became popular...you might want to recheck your culinary history and check out max millers tasting history vid on the history of pecan pie
