It’s probably fair to say that Monaco doesn’t usually provide the most exciting race of the season, but every now and again it throws up a truly remarkable GP.
In 1982 a ridiculous finish left onlookers wondering if anyone was going to make it to the finish line. Autosport Chief Editor Kevin Turner recalls one of F1’s most dramatic events in the latest “Short View Back to the Past”.

That explains why Prost was waving his hands at the clark of the course (Jacky Ickx?) in 1984 - when he was being chased by Ayrton Senna in the Toleman. (I've always thought of the 1984 race as being a Monaco great)

Ayrton Senna through the rain 1984, no contest, I think they should name the track in Monaco after him since he still owns it, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
