32:00 about the turtle ship: Fresh off my Korea trip where I visited the historic sites and turtle ships museums as well, I'm here to tell you that these ships are even cooler than you think!! 1) yes, they shot cannons, although mainly out if the sides, not as much the front. 2) YES, THEY SPAT FIRE! Well, kinda. They would release a smoke screen through the mouth of the dragon, providing cover and raising the level of confusion, which it strived in because: 3) The ships were a fucking op menace. They would literally sail into the middle of the enemy line, outnumbered 10-fold at times. What would they do? They crashed into the enemy's rudders, immobilizing them. Their own rudders were constructed in a special manner that would make them indistructable by this collision. Then they would unleash cannonfire while being impossible to board because of the metal spiked roof.

This is one of the most important aspects of AOE., together with how they march. Before you pick your civ you should also consider color/drip combo. Don't be fooled, some of these guys rank higher if they wear purple, heck some are even strongest in yellow.

Yes, Turtle Ships are real and they are freaking amazing. They were covered with spikes all around to both prevent boarding parties and be used to ram other ships. Yes, the dragon head can be used to attack with fire and other stuff. And, most importantly, they were developed under Yi Sun Shin, who is the greatest badass ever. Give them the S-tier!

32:07 Yeah they were real. The Koreans only Historical Battle has you play the part of the war that they were used in. The Urumi's "whip" is actually made of metal and has multiple heads. The reason for the tiny shield is so you can move your arm quickly to try and block your opponent's metal whip, because it moves so damn fast. You can watch videos online of people using it, it's insane.

My Personal Favorite is the Condotierre, some Units u guessed their actuall outfit wrong but i got the Argument. The Hussite wagon would be so cool if it would be an actually open top Wagon with Units inside of it. And the Conqs Helmet is Iqonic for AoeII u remeber the Logo from The Conquerors :) Great Video tho!

the weapon the konnik uses is the flail, a very intresting weapon due the chain actually making the weapon clunky and not more threatening then a spear of the same mass and size

The flail was used to get around shields, which was extremely threatening to anyone that relied on a shield.

A flail is good against heavily armoured opponents whereas a spear is not.
