It just looks fake because of the beard, that's not authorized. We have to be clean shaven in the military, unless you have a shaving profile(exemption) for bumps. Even then, it has to be trimmed. Another thing is the neck flap hanging on his collar, you see that in movies but no one lets it hang in the military. Him not wearing his cover (hat) outdoors I can overlook, even though we are supposed to, a lot of people don't wear it outdoors, especially when not on base.

i am a military vet also. this is a touching video. my heart goes out to this family. to think someone would kill a little girl like that, or anyone for that matter. but lets lay the blame where it needs to lay. at the feet of the person that committed the crime. there is no such thing as gun violence. it is only violence. a gun is nothing more than an inanimate object. it has no feelings either way on any subject. you can load a weapon and place it on a table, and it will stay there till it rusts into a solid block of metal. a weapon is not dangerous until a person picks it up . sorry make this comment at this video, but the truth has to get out. quit believing everything you see and hear from the media.

Though I will never sign this bill as it is born from disingenuous politicians, I do empathize with this family and their loss and pray they heal and grow stronger together and their families as well. You cannot disarm a nation to stop criminals from using illegally obtained firearms in their crimes, it is only criminals who use guns this way and they will always find a way to obtain one or make one to use if they so choose. It is foolish to leave families with no self defense in honor of their own loss by an armed criminal. The loss of a child due to a handgun in the home is a tragedy it is true, but it can be avoided if you are a responsible gun owner with a family and you take it serious, that means taking safety classes on how to use, store, and clean your firearms properly. This is all detailed in full in the literature given in these courses, so if you have never gone to a firearms safety class, then you are left to your own uniformed choices and accidents happen that could have been avoided. no disrespect to the families, simply speaking the truth to the power that is lying to you to use you to take away or minimize our 2nd amendment to the point that we can never get it back, and if one goes you know the 1st is going right along with it. I do not want to live that kind of a world, ask yourself do you? I choose Freedom given by our constitution and bill of rights and I choose life! This is my choice, what is yours?

Looks very realistic. Which makes it very emotional. The only bad part is this is represented as being an authentic homecoming but it's actually just a PSA with actors. I think it's patronizing good-hearted viewers to make them think this is real and get their support. At the very least visibly stamp the video "this is a reenactment by actors" so people won't get fooled. If your truth isn't good enough to stand on the truth, it's not good enough.
