Love Life Inc is more then willing to Provide your Citizen's Happiness and Genetic Perfection. Our price is reasonable as well... You just make our Healthcare Mandatory! There is nothing to worry about here, we just want to make you into our Friends. (PS: Making your species -30% fertile during war or crisis is a feature, not a bug!) (And: If everyone is equally weak, does it really count as being weak?)

I did a galaxy with the bird peeps with this origin. I filled my galaxy with a mix of federation builders, autocrats, and a single devouring swarm (everyone was on advanced start). RN-Geezus was my friend. I spawned next to the Blorg and UNE and they were my buds. When we finally encountered MSI, I was able to get my buddies to attack them. We (they - I just sat back and rubbed my hands like a cartoon villian) kicked some ass, however, they sued for peace (Edit: I remember now, it was an ideology change, I felt ripped off by attempts to have more powerful nations do my bidding). I was trying to see if I could start another war, only for a necrophage devouring swarm to kill them off (MSI was between us and them). Fun times! I should probably re-load that save and see if our Federation can take on the swarm. I have an egalitarian war orc race that was in our federation and I like to think that we (they) could take them on.

I turned the Free People of the Fall into a Megacorp. It was really fun trying to beat Minamar at their own game. Paradox even included special text if your Broken Shackles empire starts as a Megacorp.

Another great lore video to enjoy as I work from home. Payback is one of my favorite origins to play. For Broken Shackels I did a custom empire modeled on the Roc from Payback origin. Sort of full circle

I prefer the ones that break from 'Reality' and thus are motivated by something other then profits for a few. Example: A nation that looks after all people by ensuring they are all Equal Shareholders in the Company. Or one that is fixated on the stated goals of the company, it was made for a reason after all. Or one that.... you know, it really is hard thinking up a third 'good company' type...! My megacorp is different for this reason: Ark Genesis and Uplifting is their whole thing... We exist to MAKE friends. We are so much nicer about it, we also make our friends into Shareholders! Everyone is looked after for we *understand how Great Corporations are meant to be...*

"Threatened with war or reparations" is sounding a little close to Haitian history isn't it😊

I do find it a personal shame there is no full shipset based on MSI as I loved the style of marble and gold.
@TheRedKing14 сағат бұрын
Agree, but given how they're only in the same if you force spawn a shackles or payback empire feels like you'd never see them
@goalorientedgaming70523 сағат бұрын
I make alot of custom empires vanilla. I made Dantoonie a broken shakle start along with a few other star wars empires as payback. Using MSI is a good way of making a makeshift emperor if your trying to go for that achievement (as long as they don't shift ethics.)

A did a human nation called the "Confederate Republics of Earth," a rebel confederation of Earth's nations that fought against the Minimar Specialized Industries.
@SangoProductions213Сағат бұрын
Calling them "the most evil megacorp" might only be true in so far as they are kinda the only megacorp really present in the lore. All things considered, they are pretty chill. "Yo. Primatives. We got fancy cool stuff. You can go FTL and start colonizing space! It will cost you though, based on predicted value the technology will provide for your civilization, scaling up with time so you don't have to shoulder it immediately." "No thanks gods from another world." "Alright, have a good day." They aren't even particularly expansionist nor do they devote all too much to "reclaiming lost property." After all, even as a "challenge origin", it's still supposed to be possible to win... and eventually prove the value of giving the uplifting by kicking their teeth in.

I agree, thier portraits are unique and it would be a great mega-corp role-play. Also I've been saying that we should be able to play as a Nomad fleet as well, really wish we could interact with the Nomads more in the beginning. I think it's stupid that it's just a random contact and a small chance to buy ships from them.
@TheRedKing14 сағат бұрын
Preach, feels like a lost opportunity!
@lostbutfreesoul13 сағат бұрын
@@RobT192 Nomad Fleet would be an interesting option, but the game isn't really made for that. Think of it like this: Having no planets in the game triggers said game to do what? Lot of recoding, but could be possible to add a 'moving world' to the game?

So, MSI is basically space-IMF, right?
@TheRedKing14 сағат бұрын
I'll take your word for it
@Hsereal14 сағат бұрын
@TheRedKing I'm not sure _I_ take my word for it -- I'm definitely a layman regarding economics. That said, MSI's scheme is basically "Help a society develop technologically and economically via high-interest loans, then demand unjust concessions when they invariably can't pay the interest". That matches most serious criticism I've heard of the IMF.

Yes and no, although both end up all powerful and striving for same goals at the end of the day. Both lock in disadvantaged states/people with heavy debt. Many similarities, just different formats.

In one heand they bad, not showing full price of uplifting On other heand look at stellaris standard galaxsy more than half of pre ftl die or end up slaves in others empire... Uplifting and becoming vassal in erly space history of that galaxsy another stage is not that bad.
