Basquiat was a gay junkie, he traded his butt for fame; Warhol obliged and collectors wasted their money. If you gave me a Basquiat, I'd sell it as soon as it was in my hands. There's nothing special about Basquiat other than the money you can get for his pieces (I can't in good conscience call it art.)
