Excellent contrast to this is channel, for sheep, is "Sheepishly Me", Sandi Brock's in Canada. She is lambing now. Shows everything, learn so much. She raises her sheep indoors. It's OK to mention as she sent us all here to Cammie. It's great watching both.

We graze a lot of fodder rape and kale. You get a lot more from it if you strip graze them across it. Means you can force them to eat the stems right down before you move them on. A lot less is wasted and it lasts them longer and makes it easier to get them to eat the stalks.

Another benefit of not giving the flock access to the whole field at once is that the field will get fertilised more evenly, which makes it better prepared for whatever will be grown on it next.

My favorite thing about this video was the singing. I grew up on a dairy farm. We were all singing most of the time (at least that's what I remember!). In the absence of actual songs, we made them up! Great memories, and a lovely video!

Good video quality with good content 👏.wise sheep 🐑 farmer told me 50yrs ago to mark sheep on head or rump not in middle of back as they look longer.did you move the lambs in the pens to get closer to gate to save getting stuck with truck and trailer 🤣🐑🐑🏴👍

I've never seen sheep moved in a mobile pen before. Brilliant thinking on the spot to keep your chosen lambs together to get them to the trailer. I'm guessing the ground was too soft to support your vehicles. But why would you not have set your gather area up where your trailer was going to pick them up?

It‘s rapeseed or rape, a member of the mustard/cabbage family. It is used to make canola vegetable oil, as well as feed Cammy‘s sheep.

Cracking price. it's just a shame that many UK supermarkets mostly sell New Zealand lamb legs at £20 to £30 a leg and its pretty hard finding UK lamb in a supermarket, unless you want the cheap cuts like flank.

Most of the prime fresh quality fat lamg probably ends up in the high end restaurants. Frozen lamb fat n meat can have an off flavor

@@gungadin6889 well I buy lamb and mutton carcass straight from people that keep sheep, so the majority of the meat I eat has been frozen. The bad taste only comes from when it's not being frozen/defrosted properly

@@gennabird107 it is the same for us in the UK to buy UK meat it's more expensive than imported meat And it should be the total opposite if you buy meat that came from your country it should be at least half the price it is. I am lucky and buy carcasses and its easy to butcher a lamb/sheep and costs a lot less missing the middle men that more than double the price

These are actually my own lambs mostly out of my shetland ewes. Really chuffed with the prices and yes they looked much better shorn!
