Good to see you protecting your knees, Cammy. So many of the older shepherds here are all crippled up because of rams slamming into them, my policy has always been a mean ram makes the tastiest sausage. Of course, can't blame a ram that's cornered, but the one's who seek you out in the pasture/paddock are so dangerous. I appreciate all you videos, the entertainment factor of Mr. C is in every one.

We had 2 ram lambs, both came in as bottle babies, temperaments as différent as night and day, Thirsty tried at *4 months* to go up and use what horns he *didn't have* on the Mr. All 30 lbs of him...🙄🙃still no laughing matter but... His fate was decided that day. Kept him long enough to sire A lamb(hopefully ewe- she was, a good big 'un!) from a ewe that we'd keep, if possible as another ewe for our Toby(who had never shown any tempérament issues, even after his stints as a working ram for our neighbours. They kept almost every ewe lamb back as replacements they liked them so much! Thirsty...well, différent story. As soon as he got hornymones, he changed. *But he tasted good!*

LOL@dreich, we (Netherlands) would write (and pronounce) it as "drek" (meaning litterally: excrement, used as: it's really shaitweather, sometimes in a dialect in the eastcorner of the Netherlands calling it 'drekkig weer'='drietweer' )

Love your channel! 🥰🐑❤️ The sheep are so beautiful! Love the long eared ones. The sheep jumping up at the end of the chute is so funny-as if they were expecting a fence to be there. (I started watching your videos after your HoofGP collaboration…so many older videos I haven’t seen yet…but looking forward to catching up. I watch Sandi as well and as I’m sure you know, she recommended your channel the other day. Hi Cammy! I have also had minor issues with lameness on winter keep with cattle farms. Have nearly always found its CODD, and virtually never any of the foot rot variants. When I casually ask the farmer if they see any digi derm in the cattle on farms where I’ve had hassle, the answer is always something along the lines of ‘yeah we get the odd bit here and there’…..so I would definitely agree with you on that score. This is ewes or lambs that have run at home all summer with no real issues running between 1-2% overall flock lameness, and are always clean when they leave to go to keep…… I’ve had CODD in the flock at home in the past badly when I first took the flock on, nearly 6 years ago, and as such, I think the ewes have built up a degree of immunity to it and it doesn’t normally escalate to any more than a handful, but it is very frustrating, however few a number it may be! Great content as always, hope Lizzie and little’ un are both ok! All the best 👍🏻
