Re: clear windows. Traxxas should take notes. Blacked out window stickers are no longer an acceptable option for the price paid. That's a really nice detail with the turn signal threshold on the steering. I love the marker light option but it is really annoying when you're driving along. It looks weird in video. For those in the US wondering where? Ali Express.

The stock rgt/FTX tires are generally very good, especially compared to other stock tires. RC TNT has several thorough tire tests, and the rgt tires do very well. 😊

Looks like a great truck. I get the change to the indicators but crawling you’ll be using lots of lock. I’d rather they ditched those and put the cost into a light bar that’s switchable. Best reviews on the Tube. Thanks for creating such awesome content.

Baja pro x tires out the box, ton of accesories, opening hood, an interior, locking diffs, portals, front mounted transmission, working lights with controller, and still less than other crawlers. Thats a great bargain

Since they came into the RC market they have been gradually stepping up their game as they have listened to the community and are giving us what we have asked for. It's as pricey as bigger brands so it may be more difficult to sell. I expect to see an equivalent RGT model soon, as those are generally easier to find with US sellers. Those bigger companies had better pay attention or FTX/RGT might eat their lunch!

Looks like a good crawling area, Love this truck. Had mine a month, its the best rtr scale crawler iv bought in a long time , it is worth topping up the grease in transmission. There was only a smearing on the gears . Im Running a hobbywing fusion on mine now and its perfect for it .look forward to getting an interior . Keep up the good work.

I bought mine a few months ago from RGT (Rescuer). I greased the gearbox and everything, its still loud as hell but runs strong. Only had problems with the pitman arm, the screws ripped out of the plastik extremly easy, fit longer screws with 2 nilon nuts and you're good

I find a lot of these trucks that are close to hobby grade from mainstream manufacturers have noisy gearboxes because the gears are not deburred or because they use too much grease, or the wrong kind. Sticky automotive disk brake grease is a common find. Cleaning that stuff off and applying an appropriate amount of a light synthetic grease can make a huge difference. Before we had so many other options I used silicote fishing reel grease to good effect.

Thank goodness they included the mandatory snorkel! That alone makes it worth the money. The unfortunate thing, right from FTX, is they don't have an dealer it the US.

Thank you, FTX, for the clear windows! The interior's a massive bonus too, obviously, but it's always possible to improvise one, whereas cutting out opaque windows from a Lexan shell weakens it.

Looks very promising. Not a fan of portals for scale looks but i guess a full scale custom truck can have them too so why not. Electronics are cheap as expected on a RTR, a better ESC will definitely improve it a lot. Adjust throttle punch and dragbrake so it won't do wheelies and stoppies. Your driveline will thank you. And I would swap to some steel or weighted aluminium beadlocks to lower the CG. Body looks great with all the scale parts. Big yes for clear windows AND a interior! And working lights all around too!

500 pounds for the Avante black special? Damn! It cost me 459 euros and I was thinking "this thing is expensive, I hope it is as Avante as the other three I have at home" (which cost me less). For now the assembly is going well and it seems that it will be another beautiful Avante worth of my shelves. That FTX looks pretty cool but I'm too used to my Absima Khamba and for now I haven't found another crawler that works so well for me.

Hey just an observation but I just built the traxxas trx4 chassis kit and to me it looks a lot like it the servo for the shift and the servo for the lockers all into the same place esc as well only real difference is the length of the transmission and placement of the motor just saying

it looks and even sounds just like my scx10.3 wonder if it will hold up just as long? ive ran prolly 30 3s packs through my 10.3 and only thing broke was a steering horn the rear lock out servo died and the shocks leak
