The only thing i loathe about this update it's the pay to win tirpitz aka BA tirpitz. Wg took all of the buffs we suggested for tirpitz and made an entirely new ship for 17500k dubs just to get a decent tirpitz. As an og tirpitz player i find that disgusting.

Remember the good old days when you’d get a random commander from every event? Or always having premium time for simply being an active player? Or when the drop rates in the crates were just bad and not damn near impossible? Or… Needless to say, I don’t give WG much money anymore. I was never a whale but they would probably get $70-100/year out of me, similar to people buying yearly release games like CoD, Madden, etc. They get as little as I can spend without missing campaigns that I actually want and I skip a fair number of the weak ones.

I agree 90% of the games I played so far have BA Monty’s, but same thing with Yamatos and shimakazes always play with or against LOL... but newer players will have chance to get it rather than go through the bureau, it’s up to them if they want to drop $150 to get it.. or try their luck with crates it only took me 22 though to get 4/5 commanders and both ships..

Here's my problem. Having played for 4 years I haven't felt enough power creep to find most premiums worth it since Weimar days. The ships I have are more than good enough given the state of the player base. I don't see enough improvement that I get to carry any harder than my current ships /skills allow. I've been meh about 90% of new premiums for 18 months+

This was well done. I made a rule for myself, I get admiralty backing but don’t spend anything beyond that. I usually come out ok as far as premium content because there are so many ways to get free crates. There’s content for the whales and there’s ample content for the rest of us too. Just gotta know the difference and accept it for what it is or find something else to do because it isn’t likely to change much.

To be fair, for those that have continually “invested” into this game (time/money), it can be difficult to view it as “only a video game”. Especially when wargaming is essentially stealing any joy the community may have anticipated to receive from that investment by constantly utilizing an extravagant paywall.

Schill is for dedicated veteran players that has A LOT of resources laying around that they have no use for. Promotion orders and premium days not the least. It’s not for new players or casual players that downloaded the game 2019 and only have a couple of hundred games played since then. We did ask for that for a long time. And I for one will not hold it against WG when they listen and give some love to the dedicated veteran players. Other than that, I completely agree with you! It’s atrocious with all the over priced content this update. The crates in crates one has to buy a ton of to get Borodino. The BA content and the return of Christmas crates. They over did it in my opinion. But you’re also right about people needing to calm down. We don’t have to buy EVERYTHING that’s available for money. EVERYTHING that’s glitters and looks flashy. I’m not one of the big whales. But I did spend to much money on this game. An update like this can serve as a wake up call for some hopefully. And I’m spending less than I used to.

I bought Texas and Arizona (both on sale) years ago some time after I started playing along with a year of premium time. 3 years later I refuse to give wg money with two exceptions, I bought and grinded through the Musashi and Enterprise campaigns because those were ships that existed and had real stories. Other than that, I refuse to give WG money. Nothing they've added or done has been worth it imo and the more I learn about WG as a business the less I like about them.

Only thing ive bought from the store was the .99 Milwaukee pack ive passed on every other content. I feel that what is offered i can go to a store and get video game Cartridges for way under what WG is charging for digital content. I can get alot of cartridges and or Ps4 games for less then the BA packs. Just as an examples i walked i to a local store and got 4 games for under $70 they were worth over $120 used Cartridges as long as they are in good condition can fetching good money i can get good deals.

I've been F2P for the past year and a half. (Other than buying Scharnhorst last Christmas) but they finally got me with this update. I only bought the BA Tirpitz because I didn't see the point of continuing to grind GXP for the regular Tirpitz anymore. I've spent about $120 aside from premium time. The Montana should have been an Iowa imo. Allowing people to get to end game immediately is a huge issue in every MMO. I'm worried because they got my ass, I plan on buying some drachmas to get Georgia and using my 70% to get another premium. But I realize now I bought Scharny and hate it with a passion. What if I buy a ship with drachmas or dubs and hate it like Scharny? It just sits in port to this day. BA Tirp is badass tho and is slowly becoming my comfort ship.

I know it's a game but I've always been highly competitive and everything I do I do well and I found it impossible to do that in this game. I deleted it a few months back.

I learned my lesson in the past, as I went a bit too far into spending while I had a pretty bad time :( for legends, I didnt pay anything since I started in 2022, early november. I had premium running for 11 and a half month for free. I use the free doubloons for campaigns and I buy gxp ships. there is simply too much to buy and its rather expensive. + I am not the super pro that would profit a lot from a little boost + I would not have the materials to level up new commanders 😅 I would not even know when to play those ships. I already have so many that I don't play :( so why would I buy more captains or ships for 800 euros/dollars?

Great update by WG, as you mentioned, tons of great content, but a truly boring campaign and only worth the rewards. Borodino is an awesome ship to try and earn, and virtually close to getting it with campaign, free crates, calendar event, and treasure hunt, so overall, not bad if someone doesn't want to spend much this month. Hopefully next months campaign is what we think it is.

I spent more money in the last update than this one. Keep in mind that I buy everything, including the entire campaign on day one. Had really bad luck with Vallejo, which got really expensive last time. This time I had better luck with all the cartoon shit and reskinned boats. Even for someone that has a lot of disposable income, this game has gotten noticeably more expensive over the years.

If one buys the BS Montana then why go to the Bureau? It's a corner-cutter move to make money, but it diminishes the Bureau design which is rather stupid. Ya shouldn't diminish your own designs like that, in my opinion. The ships in the Bureau should be exclusive to the Bureau and be the be-all and end-all of the particular tech line of ships it represents...period. But gamers are the gaming company's flock and they want to sheer your ass at every opportunity of what ya have that they want, and that would be ...your money, babydoll. Past examples of WG's bullshit are hard to forget, the jolly roger flag ship caveat, certain ships behind expensive pay walls like the Borodino...( which would have been a refreshing campaign reward and the first Soviet campaign ship in almost TWO years) are a couple of what is recent examples...and lest we forget the camo melt down penalty of forfeiting over 300 gallons of paint that you the player, bought and owned, how frakking petty is that?? it's not just petty, it's deliberately condescending, but i digress. Gamers are (well quite enough of them are) simply addicts, emotionally and/or gambling addicts who are shamelessly addicted to gaming, and will pay out their monies to feed that need, otherwise they would have a nervous breakdown....or worse. Gaming companies know this, and they exploit it every month of every year across all genres and cousin...business has been a-boomin' Humans are by and large social creatures...which means they kinda need to interact in all sorts of ways. Gaming gives one THAT option to interact with the escaping (always a bonus) in a all-in-one experience, so what A A Ron is pointing out is not something that will change in my lifetime and it will unlikely change in yours. A A Ron will live to see a change because I am convinced that he's a cyborg. Will there ever be a collective awakening amongst people to combat things like this, by simply abstaining in favor of other less expensive adventures? The trend suggests a big hell-to-the-negative-no times infinity...but that's what it will take to get companies to lay off that gas pedal and behave in a more reasonable manner. Capitalism is an interesting creature because the wonderful of it is equal to the badness of it, but hey...that's just how Moony sees it. 😜

When I was grinding out for Missouri, I paid out every campaign in order to get her. Just $200 just to get to the Endless Trials. At the time, I didn't know how long she was going to be in the Forge section in the store. After I got Missouri, most of my motivation was spent. But that didn't stop me from having great games, especially in Missouri. Of course, when the War in Ukraine happened, the paywall started going up and after a certain point, I couldn't support it. Hell, I couldn't support anything AFTER tier 8 ships got introduced. And I sure as hell can't support this stuff now! Question: With most of this being basically for the 'Whales" out there now, how many of the long-time player base is still playing the game?

The BA Pack is way,way to expensive. I only got the BA Montana one and the German BB commander. I might get the French Cruiser BA Commander. I will definitely get Admiralty backing. BA Montana should only be playable for players who have a tier six BB and a certain amount of Standard battles played.

This is the biggest cash grab ever until next update watch, but it at least to me pants a bad picture for the future, Lets look at the crates first the Campion ones they drop crates it has a 20 percent chance to drop a Santa Crate 4, one of the black Friday from 2020-2023, one of the Halloween ones, and a few others, and these crates can drop ships, commanders, GXP, promotion orders, comandations, and so on, Next then the anniversary crates can drop any of the new tech tree ships, after that the 5 ships that you can buy for that weird money from getting campion crates, add in a Campaign ship thatis not worth it, and Blue Archive you got a money grab that make the Beegle Boys rob WG not Scrooge McDuck, And lets look at this summer so far event after event, the content creators thing all money grabs each bigger then the last, and to bring in new players, This as I says pants a picture of a dying or at least ill game to me, and WG well keep on doing this, Not fix why this game is losing players, and needs to do things like this to get old and news to come play.

Got lucky buying the 1000 dubs BA Crates, 4/5 commanders, both ships, BUT it ended up being 22 crates in total, I could went toward the 25 crates, but I don’t know if I end up with same results. 22,000 dubs total… then both all of the Santa Crates GOT IWAMI and some premium ships that I already have so it went to credits… So I got very lucky with my BA Crates. I highly suggest to do the crates, trust me I was “what the….” And literally laugh. As far as for drachmas I’m heading towards Siegfried…if you don’t have Georgia and Belfast… BUT I’ll rather get 2 ships than Bordino. Who doesn’t like 2 free great premium ships (Georgia and Siegfried *cough cough*
